For a wee book by a first-time author, it packs a hell of a punch. It's dark and dreamy and chronicles the replaying and of old wounds over and over again. The quality of the passage of time is strange--disjointed and unified all at once. Brutal and beautiful all at once, it's a book of lovely contradictions.
