Shelves: self-help
This is a lovely little reference book about one of my favourite subjects. It is filled with lots of simple techniques using gemstones with water. This isn't the type of book I generally read from start to finish I tend to dip into it when I feel the need for some spiritual support. The gemstone references are so clean and straight to the point, the type of book I love. I have a library full of very deep self-help books, but unlike this little beauty they often make things too complicated. Well ...more

I chose this book to read because I will be teaching a class on Gem Elixirs in the spring, and wanted another perspective on the material. This book provided that and much more. It offers many different techniques for making elixirs, and offers some stone formulas for specific conditions. What was particularly useful was the long list of stones that should never be used in the direct soaking method because they are made of harmful chemicals.
