A very fun collection of twenty sci fi stories by one of my favorite sci fi/fantasy authors. There are tales of aliens, space travel, time travel, parallel universes, super heroes (and sidekicks), unicorns, and more. There is even a sequel/prequel story, "Revised Edition", to a short story in the author's CROSSTIME TRAFFIC collection, "An Infinity of Karen". If I had to pick a favorite tale, I would probably go with "The Garrison" just because it felt like a small piece of a much larger adventure, but still told a complete story in and of itself. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of well-written, imaginative, and clever tales and would urge others who like short-form science fiction to give it a shot.
