Biographies of a variety of gay men (king, painter, bathhouse owner, and blogger) presented against the backdrop of the cultural history of Singapore, Bali and Bangkok. Their work in creating a gay safe place for themselves and others as the region tries to define itself by the absorption of the Wester ideals of monogamy, the creation of an image of the Asian male and the pursuit of sexual justice. Somewhat awkward in narrative.
