This book takes a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on at a baseball game. While there is a little bit of information about the athletes themselves, most of the book focuses on other people such as reporters, grounds crew, coaches, and umpires. It provides a unique perspective on a baseball game and would encourage baseball fans to think about the big game from a different point of view.

This book shows the many different jobs involved in a game of baseball as well as different places.

Conversational in tone, nicely designed, plenty of color action shots that are not terribly well-captioned, text boxes containing extra factoids. Nice addition for baseball fans.
