Heady with the rush and power of being a graduate of first grade, Christopher Robin decides to throw a graduation for the Pooh friends and give them all awards for being the best at the thing they're best at. Only Pooh doesn't know what he's best at, so instead he helps everyone practice what they're best at.

A cute story that justly acknowledges Eeyore's Pooh Stick expertise from the original Milne books.

(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:

In Pooh's Graduation, which is really a graduation for all Christopher Robin's friends, Pooh is so busy helping everyone else that he doesn't have time to figure out what he's good at.

The Pooh gang characters are so loveable. Kids and grownups alike can relate to their character traits and problems. Child or adult, it doesn't matter, because many people have felt that someone else was better at something than they are. Some people have a hard time seeing what they're good at. Many people have talents that are easy to see: singing, dancing, painting, photography, juggling, etc. Sometimes what you're good at isn't so obvious because it's a character trait like kindness, patience, listening, etc.

I like looking at this book again because I remember and still love the bright colored pictures. I love how we get to see each character a lot and they have a cute graduation party and give everyone a reward for their own special talents.

After Christopher Robin graduates from 1st grade the characters from the 100 acre wood are curious about what a graduation is. So Christopher Robin makes diplomas and caps and gowns for them all. Giving them a diploma for something they are the best at.

I don't know. My kid loves it. Every character is special and gets a prize.

my favorite quote: "'Being the best sounds hard,' said Eeyore."
