This would be a great book to read with children during science class, especially during the time most earthquakes occur. I like the use of real pictures throughout the book and how the book talks about real earthquakes that have impacted people worldwide. Helpful glossary and index in the back of the book.

Earthquakes tells the young reader all about how and why they happen. There are several earthquakes every day, but they aren't usually felt.

The author even gives tips for anyone living in an earthquake zone.

There are great illustrations and pictures of the aftermath of several earthquakes.

Excellent introduction to earthquakes to include preparing for an earthquake and what to do. Very matter-of-fact with high-quality photographs.
