Cypher Lx is a very talented author. The book is about zombies in the West, but it's done so logically that you really believe it. Her concepts and characters are great: Jeb, the lone horseman, Hel and Angel, the two beautiful prostitutes, and Rusty, the kid who meets them. Not only that, bu the action never lets up.

I hihgly recommend this as a great Halloween read.

Umm, I'm not sure what I just read. It was very amateur, which is fine, except that it was published... To me, and author should only release something that is polished and refined to a publishable standard. This wasn't to that standard. Maybe a workable 3rd draft, but still had a lot of major issues that no one seemed to see or catch.

1. Flipping first person. Why? Why would you have multiple 1st person perspectives? It's confusing. This book should have been 1st person in only one person's hea

Overall, I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters, the plot, etc. enough to finish the book and be glad I did. However there were two things that disappointed me - the hokey, exaggerated country-bumpkin voices that the characters used (inconsistently, I might add), and the ending.

The voices were what initially almost put the book down.

"Nowadays, people 'round these parts call me the Reaper."

"I'm keepin' my guns so I can save my own hide if y'all can't keep 'em out."

It was almost too much.
