If I'm not mistaken, this is one of the few first books written by Ms. Linda Kage. She has been written such good books from the start. I am definitely the fan of her books. Her current work are extremely enjoyable and I can see her style in this one. Obviously the current books are much better than the older ones and I really happy and glad to read the book and see the writer grows from a great writer to an even more brilliant one.

The story are well-written and enjoyable. I always love all her

A Man for Mia is certainly a story that tugs at the heartstrings.

Drew and Mia meet under less than ideal circumstances. When Drew walks up to Mia’s house, he has one goal; find out if Mia is his brother-in-law’s mistress. I couldn’t help but smile a little as Drew reluctantly approached Mia’s house in order to keep his sister from going crazy. However, the moment he meets Mia, he feels an attraction so powerful he can’t ignore it. It

This was a fabulous book. To be honest, I thought it was going to be a little depressing considering the deep subjects it deals with, but the author does a wonderful job with it. Mia is tortured with the guilt of trying to move on, but excited at the prospect of love. Drew is torn between loyalty to his sister and his interest in Mia. Their romance is a sweet roller coaster and incredibly believable. The side story of Mandy and her husband is well written and almost more of a second story rather ...more

Two people torn. Mia is a woman who is sad because of a tragedy that happened and she is feeling guilty about it. Drew is a man who is looking out for his sister. Drew's sister thinks that her husband is cheating on her and gets Drew to look into it. They believe that it's Mia and Drew is hoping that its not true because he feels an instant connection with Mia and knows she feels the same about him. Through some antics, Drew finds out the truth about what's going on and is torn between his loyal ...more

Two people who were forced to choose opposite sides. Drew had to side with his beloved sister, while Mia had to side with her best friend.
As much as the two are attracted to each other..and later on developed feelings for each other, their loyalty to their loved ones forces them to apart.

The book is short but sweet and I liked it. I would've wanted to read more about the two characters but the plot was just plain and simple. I guess anything more would've dragged the story and wouldn't make re

The premise of this story was interesting but the execution was poor. Maybe it was the shortness of the story that hampered it. A lot of details felt rushed and the emotion didn't feel real. I wanted to feel sorry for the characters, but I didn't know much about them to care. If the situations were simplified and the author had spent more time fleshing the characters out, I feel this would've been much better.

PG13 for subject matter (adultery, death)
I did not like this book at all, and here's why: I thought it was going to be an instance of mistaken identity for a misunderstanding and that there was going to be some humor. But I was wrong. I thought the adultery was extremely tragic, and I did not think the romance was lovely at all. Do not waste your time.

No dice for now. The plot sounds interesting enough, but while reading the free trial, it kinda felt... Little house on the prairie-ish...didn't sense that this book or characters, would make me feel anything. All the reviews are pretty positive, but there are only 4 on GR and amazon, may give it another go later on once more peeps have commented.

A very sweet and emotional read! Loved the hero and thought he was perfect for Mia. There were some heavy issues that were dealt with in the book, but the author did a great job bringing the whole story to a satisfying conclusion. :-)

I didn't want to put this story down. I was immediately hooked by the likable yet wounded heroine and the sweet hero who'd been put in a tough spot. Great conflict and a realistic romance that still hit the right note with its happily ever after.

The plot is too much like a poorly written soap opera. It's not my type of fun romance.

Linda writes romance fiction from YA to adult, contemporary to fantasy. Most Kage stories lean more toward the lighter, sillier side with a couple meaningful moments thrown in. Focuses more on entertainment value and emotional impact.
