This 2011 book is pretty much outdated at this point. There is a section on general homebrewing, and some useful information is scattered throughout the book, but for the most part it is a collection of extract recipes. These days there are a lot of recipes available on the internet, and from brewing apps (like Brewers Friend, which I use, and BeerSmith), so it makes hanging on to big recipe books like this kind of unnecessary. But I think I will hang onto it. This has a lot of recipes in it that are clear and easy to follow. I have Hummel's braggot sitting in my carboy right now. I have never had a braggot before, and thanks to this book I will soon get to try one.

This is the worst homebrew book I ever read. ALL recipes are made with extract. Do not lose your money and time.
