Many of the editions by this group of authors are actually guides to books rather than the works.

If the author of the SparkNotes is known, they should be the first author. Please leave these SparkNotes Editors as the second author and the author of the original work as the last author. Do not combine with the original work. Do not put the author of the ORIGINAL work first.

This notes by Sparknotes gives us some unknown insights. I read this book several times, but the notes or insights shared by this work are worth paying attention to, especially by the literature students. These insights give us different perspectives on theme love and marriage; and pride and prejudice.

I stumbled onto the awesomeness that is Spark Notes last year when covering Romeo and Juliet and have since tried to add them to our Language Arts materials to elucidate the beautiful yet antiquated text. This edition however did not showcase Sparknotes best feature of side by side comparisons of a primary and simplified story. That being said it has been a helpful source for my daughter when working on her various projects and papers for Pride and Prejudice as a detailed index with additional insight.
