"The Seabiscuit Story" is a compilation of articles that appeared in "The Blood Horse" magazine. Though my passion is horses and I had seen the Seabiscuit movie, I was afraid this book would be rather "dry". But I was so wrong. When you read about the races that Seabiscuit was in, the reporters made visions of the track and the actual race appear in your head--or at least it did mine. The story of Seabiscuit's life is a very interesting one and this encompasses the owners, Mr. & Mrs. C. S. Howard, the jockeys, Red Pollard & George Wolf and the trainer, Tom Smith. I even learned some things about Seabiscuit that I hadn't known before.
