On December 15, 2010, Time magazine choose the person of the year. The person that wins this reward is the person that changed the most how people communicate. Mark Zuckerberg is the person that won this prestigious award. He is born in Dobbs Ferry, New York on May 14, 1984. Mark is known for creating the world's most famous social media site which is no other cite than Facebook. At just 26 years old, Mark was the youngest billionaire in the United States. Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard because he thought that university was too easy for him. While he was at Harvard, Mark created Facebook and that is where his success comes from.
I picked this particular bibliography because of several reasons. The first reason is because technology is something that motivates me, and Facebook is used by 600 million people across the world so it is worth it knowing it's history. Another reason why this book is interesting to read is because every one knows Mark Zuckerberg and it would be fascinating to know even more about him. Three facts I learned from Mark Zuckerberg are; first that Mark went to the world's most famous university: Harvard! Another fact I learned is that Mark Zuckerberg is the United States's youngest billionaire at only 26 years old! The third and last fact I learned is that Mark got the title of 'the person of the year'!
I would recommend this book to a variety of people. First I should mention people that are interested in technology. Next I would recommend this book to Facebook users because after years of having a Facebook account it would be important to know how was the cite created and by who. I would also recommend this book to Middle school students because this book had an easy lexile level and a lot of people between the age of twelve and fifteen use Facebook on a daily basis.

• This book examines perhaps the most famous name in social media: Mark Zuckerberg. Creator of popular social media website Facebook.com, Zuckerberg built a fortune while studying computer programming at Harvard. The details surrounding the rapid success of the website and the lawsuit regarding Zuckerberg’s role in a commitment just prior to launching Facebook are, however, lesser known.
• In nine chapters, this book provides background on Zuckerberg’s life history, including his family, academics, and hobbies. Several of the pages display captioned pictures and interesting facts separated from the main text by margins. Both of these tools help the reader to navigate the paragraphs that discuss complex ideas and include technical language.
• This book is a good resource for students in upper elementary grades and through middle school. 6th graders seem like the best fit given that they likely have Facebook accounts and are familiar with language specific to social media and the internet. Some of the content will be challenging to grasp for 6th graders, but I view this as an opportunity to challenge students to read outside their comfort zone. The strength of this book is that many youth throughout the country already have an existing connection to Facebook. Whether they have accounts or not, the majority of students have heard about it in the news or daily conversation or at least have seen examples of it. Relevance is an influential factor when students are completing an educational task such as writing an essay. I contend that reading a biography on Zuckerberg is more likely to sustain the interest of an average American 11 year old than one on Thomas Jefferson.
