This short essay was written in 2011 and rehearses familiar criticisms with regard to how the European project is taking shape through the EU: technocratic hubris and overstretch, bureaucratic meddling, collusion with financial interests, democratic deficit. "The answer to Victor Hessel", is what is written on the back of this booklet. Nothing is less true. This is a largely populist pamphlet in which all the flat criticism on the European construction is gathered. Not that there is no criticism to be made on Europe, but the level of the argumentation in this booklet is really below all standards. I prefer the inspired indignation of a 93-year-old!

Lidt for generel i sin kritik. Essensen af kritikken er berettiget, men bogen berigede mig ikke med ny viden og indsigt.
Här finns vissa poänger men i det stora hela känns det mest flummigt och spretigt och det känns inte som jag hade så mycket ut av att läsa boken, men det gick snabbt med bara ca 95 sidor.
