Soooo, after laughing my way through the first book of this series, I strapped on my big-girl undies to see if Book 2 was as bad as the first.
It’s a damn good thing I suited up in protective gear, because in between the vomit-inducing Insta-Love and a *lot* of WTFery, this book PISSED ME OFF.
The plot…
Homeless orphaned dyslexic pregnant virgin hides out in baby daddy’s barn to . Also, she’s mistaken for a mermaid.
Summing up our heroine in one paragraph:
“Do you think I could have a glass of milk when we get there?” Jessie looked at him hopefully.
Summing up our hero in one paragraph:
Knowing that Jessie was going to need clothes for the dance, he had gone crazy and went to Sarah Jane’s boutique and bought ten different outfits for his Angel-baby. And before he left the town square, he had stopped at the florist and bought a dozen peach colored roses. The color reminded him of her nipples.
And the WTFery doesn’t stop there...
We also have general cluelessness, ridiculous character inconsistencies, endless poetic euphemisms for intimate body parts, and a heroine who’s spunky enough to appreciate the ironic humor of attempted rape.
And if all THAT wasn’t enough, we get sneak peeks into the sequels for McCoy brothers Isaac (Tattooed Motorcycle-Riding Badass), Joseph (Paralyzed Reckless Daredevil) and Noah (Uptight Self-Righteous Accountant) – each of whom show their asshole credentials early and often.

I am on a roll with this series.
This one got me mad, however not with Noah that I got mad. It was his jerk face brother, Joseph. He is one guy I don't want to read because he has to be most evil bastard that has ever lived. He was not protecting his brother he was hurting the woman his brother loved because he was afraid of losing money!?
What a complete jerk?
Now, this story was great with just enough spice to keep you blushing and drama to keep you on your toes.
Great story and a keeper for me.
I am loving this series.

Insta lust, insta luv,insta sex!!!, but enjoying the series so far.

I am really torn on how to rate this book. As for the main couple, it was a solid read. Insta love, sweet hero and insecure virgin heroine. The writing was better that the first book. The lingo used was more normal. Still got "bamboozled" but overall it was better. So it would have been a 3 or 3.5 stars.
Unlike the last book, the hero was a manwhore up until a few months before meeting her because he decided it was time to find a wife. I was ok with that. We do not see or run into any exes. There were some things that happen to the heroine towards the end that were crazy terrible but she got over them in a nanosecond. That left me a little weirded out but I had already suspended reality - so ok I can live with a quick wrap up. I did not like the twist at the end, but it did not affect my overall enjoyment of the book. I just thought it was an unnecessary complication that slightly took away from the HEA.
The MAJOR issue I had (which brought down my score) was that we had a ton of interactions with the other brothers (who will be featured in future books) and it put them in a terrible light (with the exception of Aron from book 1). I don't just mean their disgusting manwhore ways. I mean saying cruel, mean and downright awful things to women.
Isaac says something cruel to the heroine for his upcoming book. Really mean and totally unnecessary. I get trying to deive her away but he went WAY too far. Now she has no choice but to be a pushover to allow him back in her life. Great already someone I cannot respect.
Joseph is very mean to the heroine from his book. He is so bad I definitely will not read book 3. Disrespectful towards women and not someone that I could respect or like, at all.
Noah was HORRIBLE to the heroine from this book. I hated him! I wanted him to die a slow, miserable death. But all was forgiven instantly. That left me angry and unfulfilled at the end of the book. Which brought down my enjoyment of this book. And ultimately, my score.
This is the risk we take with a series. Sometimes we see too much of a future hero or heroine and it ruins a future book even though that book itself is good. I have had this happen before and it is always a risk. I just do not understand why this author went there. I thought her formula was solid but she is trying to go somewhere I know I am not going to like. Of course I went and read ahead some previews and she does go somewhere with the first couple that is ridiculous (not cheating). Why can't they just have their HFN or HEA without another drama?
So now I am left deciding what to do. Of course, I am curious what happens because I am a little invested in the overall storyline. But I am not going to read about HEAs for characters I despise. I am definitely skipping book 3 and I think I may try to read Isaac's book because it does not seem like he was a whore after he chased her away so he can redeem himself. If I sniff that he continues his manwhore ways, I will skip that one too. Noah I need some time to decide on, but luckily there are a few books before his with new characters. I will try those too. Maybe I just need a break from the family itself!
Overall this is a safe read. There is no cheating and no OW. Thank goodness!

This is the second book in the Hell Yeah series. This is Jacob and Jessie's story.
Jessie has severe dyslexia and never finished school. She feels her job choices are few because of it. She signs up to be a surrogate for a couple who are not able o have a baby. But there was a major mix up at the cryobank and the wrong sperm had been used.
When the McCay's found out they wanted her to have an abortion but Jessie refused. So she goes in search of Jacob McCoy, who the cryobank told her could possibly be the father of her unborn child.
What she found was a love to good to be true. Both her and Jacob fell in love with each other at first sight. But there will be no easy path ahead. As a psycho is Hot On Her Trail. And there is nothing he won't do to get to the woman he has become obsessed with.
I had one small issue with Jessie's character. She was severely dyslexic and could not read legal documents or recipes. But she stated in the book that she read Erotic novels. Still this slight error was not enough to make me dislike the book.

This book was even better than the first! The continuation of the trials and tribulations of the McCoy family... there are so many twist and turns, which kept me off on edge constantly, but I found it to be enthralling. The character development of the family and then the addition of even more characters with a solid plot makes for a good read. I also appreciate the tempo of the story and the fact that is seems so realistic.
In this book we have Jacob and Jesse. Jacob is most philanthropic of the McCoy men. He has helped raise funding for Libby and her cancer treatments, and spends an inordinate amount of time giving to the youth in his town via Little League and other activities. A softey at heart who isn't afraid to cry when need be, but still uber masculine and extremely protective of his family. He also works as a volunteer Firefighter which is how he came to be involved in the mess that brought Jesse to his doorstep.
Jesse is a girl who lost her father early in life, and berated by her mom for being too heavy and never good enough, only to be hit-on by her stepfather...which is what propels her to leave her home before graduating high school. She works as a Janitor when she gets an offer to be a surrogate for a doctor and his wealthy wife. Turns out the lab that she got the donor sperm from mixed up the doctor's sperm with someone elses. Jesse is led to believe and so are the doctor and his wife that Jacob is the said donor of the sperm that she is now pregnant from. Jesse then leaves the couple's home for fear of the baby being aborted and seeks out to tell Jacob about the baby.
Upon arrival at Tebow ranch she observes Jacob further and decides it is safe to tell him the truth...and not because she wants money or anything else from him or the family, but because she feels he has the right to know that she is carrying his child. She is determined to keep and raise the child on her own, but would like Jesse to visit and be a part of the child's life if he wants. They are weary at first because of Aron's ex-wife Sabrina who was nothing but a goldigger, so some in the family jump to that conclusion about Jesse, but it couldn't be further from the truth. She is honest to a fault, and I have to say I admire people like her immensly.
From the minute Jacob spies a naked girl in his barn talking to the horses he falls in love with her and sets out to find out all about her.
With the family still raw from Joseph's accident and mindful of Libby and her health they are particularly weary as to what Jesse may want from Jacob. Jacob recieves at letter from the Sperm bank confirming that he is the donor for Jesse, but this happens before he has really met her and has only seen her out in the barn.
Jesse endears herself to the family by saving Nathan from almost getting killed by a truck as he and her both get side swiped and they get knocked in the river below the bridge, where Jesse administers CPR to Nathan and that is how she gets back to Tebow and finally starts to tell Jacob who she is and why she is there.
Wow the love-making scenes between these two were very hot. Not only is Jacob endowed and then some, but he is gorgeous, romantic, and kind and once he knows that Jesse is carrying his child he falls so in love with her it isn't even funny. Jesse can't help but adore and fall in love with him too, but she is cautious as she has been disappointed and unloved for most of her life. She was a virgin, but he soon has her crazed for his touch and they go at it like Rabbits.
You have to love a man like Jacob who literally has it all, and can be so giving and kind to want to take on the responsibility of caring for a child and a woman he didn't even know. He is able to look past her learning disability and the circumstances surrounding Jesse coming to Tebow...to fall so deeply in love with her and want to marry her and be her one and only forever.
I loved this book so much that I went in to buy the next one upon finishing this book last night! If you love romance and Cowboys then you will love this series.

I'm so beyond disturbed that I actually enjoyed this book enough that I think I'm going to have to read the rest if the brother's stories.
This book was the definition if cheesy - sappy- unrealistic. I mean I think that the hero had about a thousand different endearments he alled the heroine (Treasure, pumpkin, puddin' , doll, angel face, lamb-chop, sweetness, precious... And on and on and on). The hero was so sweet it made my teeth hurt. The hero was disturbingly trusting and head over heals for her like ten minutes after meeting her. There were parts of the book that I found myself laughing hysterically over (and they weren't meant to be funny)
Maybe I'm just in the mood for cheese, 'cause something about it, made it enjoyable, despite some of its more laughable qualities. I'm kind of in awe that the author actually pulled off this story. (Gorgeous insecure virgin gets knocked up with wrong guys sperm, falls in love with said stranger, while being stalked by crazy mad man, and then they all lived happily ever after)

Jacob McCoy, Jessie the naive, a psycho and a douche bag brother.
I think maybe this series just isn't for me. The books are like a soap opera. The MCs are only about 2/3 of the story and then the focus shifts every so often to the other brothers. The setups for their stories are so transparent that I feel i don't need to read more.
Anyways, Jessie suffers from extreme dyslexia and so has never been able to do much with her life. Even her family has been a let down. She ends up agreeing to be a surrogate mom for a couple that turn out to not be what they seemed. Then it is revealed that the place that spermed her, made a mistake. Yep... she is carrying a McCoy and not a McCay .
She ends up on the run to Jacob, the 'real' father of her baby (the egg was hers). The McCoys are a family of brothers that lost their parents at a young age. These books are a bit Harlequin-like (except the H is a nice guy) and, I confess, I like that. So while I liked this one I did skim a fair bit and have no desire to read the other brother's stories as they seem pretty obvious.
Some action, some insta love, some nice groveling....

Endearingly Good - Hot on Her Trail by Sable Hunter
Have you ever experienced a time when you didn't feel appreciated? When you wanted to be loved for who you were even though you didn't live up to the dictates of society? Or how about hoping and wishing your life changed for the better despite Fate not dealing you a fair hand?
Hot on Her Trail by Sable Hunter is one such story. It's about Jacob McCoy and Jessie Montgomery, two individuals who come from opposing sides of the track. One rich, one poor, but both with the same belief in the importance of family.
Jessie has a disability which limits her options of making her life better. She becomes a surrogate for a couple but by some fluke, the donor is Jacob McCoy. Already feeling that something is wrong with the intended parents, Jessie flees to Kerrville to look for Jacob. Her intention is not to blackmail Jacob, but to get his promise that he will not seek custody of the child growing inside her. However, when they meet, sparks of the sexy kind fly and that's where the next chapter of Jessie's life begins and ends with Jacob McCoy.
Ms Hunter has a knack of dealing with issues that stare us in the face. But we either refuse to acknowledge them or feel uncomfortable in doing so.
One is surrogacy. Despite all the legalese that makes surrogacy iron clad it cannot prevent the pain caused by the separation of the biological mother from her child, even though she knows the child was never hers in the first place. Neither is it easy for the intended parents when the surrogate mother decides that she cannot part with her child. It becomes a no-win situation.
Another is a misconceived perception that people from the wrong side of the tracks are money-grabbing individuals or gold-diggers. Noah McCoy proved himself to be an ass here when he jumped into the wrong conclusion as to why Jessie was with Jacob. He was just too straight-laced to see that it was his brother who wanted Jessie in his life. Noah refused to listen to Jessie because she just didn't fit in. There is a back story here as to why Noah is protective to a fault and you need to read the story. But this brings one question to mind. How many of us are not guilty of the same mindset as Noah's at one time or another in our lives? Food for thought.
Hot on her Trail is an erotic romance and a happily ever after story. What girl wouldn't want to be wooed and cherished by an upright, sexy hunk of a man like Jacob McCoy, who presses all the right buttons? What girl wouldn't want to be treated like a princess?
Ms Hunter has also placed a spanner in the works with regard to Jessie's baby. Quo Vadis?
I'll leave that to you to find out when you get to read Hot on Her Trail. But I have to tell you this. Once you've read the book, you won't look at love in the same way again.

Ms Hunter has a knack of dealing with issues that stare us in the face. But we either refuse to acknowledge them or feel uncomfortable in doing so.
One is surrogacy. Despite all the legalese that makes surrogacy iron clad it cannot prevent the pain caused by the separation of the biological mother from her child, even though she knows the child was never hers in the first place. Neither is it easy for the intended parents when the surrogate mother decides that she cannot part with her child. It becomes a no-win situation.
Another is a misconceived perception that people from the wrong side of the tracks are money-grabbing individuals or gold-diggers. Noah McCoy proved himself to be an ass here when he jumped into the wrong conclusion as to why Jessie was with Jacob. He was just too straight-laced to see that it was his brother who wanted Jessie in his life. Noah refused to listen to Jessie because she just didn't fit in. There is a back story here as to why Noah is protective to a fault and you need to read the story. But this brings one question to mind. How many of us are not guilty of the same mindset as Noah's at one time or another in our lives? Food for thought.
Hot on her Trail is an erotic romance and a happily ever after story. What girl wouldn't want to be wooed and cherished by an upright, sexy hunk of a man like Jacob McCoy, who presses all the right buttons? What girl wouldn't want to be treated like a princess?
Ms Hunter has also placed a spanner in the works with regard to Jessie's baby. Quo Vadis?
I'll leave that to you to find out when you get to read Hot on Her Trail. But I have to tell you this. Once you've read the book, you won't look at love in the same way again.

I just finished reading Sable Hunter's "Sweeter version" of "Hot on Her Trail!" What a great book! Sable is such a phenomenal writer and really cares about her readers. I have read all of her "Hell Yeah" series and have loved each story that unfolds about the fabulous and handsome McCoy Brothers. Some readers like different degrees of "Hot" in their books and Sable has listened. She is re-writing her HOT series in a sweeter version, so that her books will reach all readers who love contemporary love stories. “Hot on her Trail – Sweeter Version” is the second book in this great series. This book tells the story of a beautiful young girl named Jessie, who suffers from Dyslexia and was left penniless by her parents. In order to survive, Jessie takes a job as a surrogate mother to provide a baby for a childless couple, known as the McCays, in addition to her cleaning jobs. She allows her eggs to be impregnated by the husband’s sperm. A series of incidents occur, one being that the Austin Cryobank mixes up the sperm of the donors and Jessie is impregnated by the wrong man. The wife of the childless couple, when finding out Jessie is not carrying their baby, insists that Jessie abort the baby. Jessie gives them back their money and runs for her life. When she finds out her baby’s father is Jacob McCoy, who just happens to be one of the handsome and rich McCoy brothers, she sneaks onto their land, known as the Tebow Ranch, in the hopes of getting a glimpse of the man who fathered her baby. The first two times Jessie and Jacob meet, Jessie is always caught in the nude. Their meetings are sweet, tender and just hilarious! Ella acude en busca del verdadero padre de su hijo y dará con el, Jacob McCoy.
Jacob ha soñado siempre con una familia, una esposa y unos hijos con los que llenar el rancho. Cuando Jessie aparece con sus noticias, Jacob no puede ser más feliz. Pero no todos piensan así, y en un intento de proteger a su hermano el peligro encontrará a Jessie.
En serio, con lo nauseabundas que son estas historias, con tantos apodos cursis, que lo unico que les falta es llamarse "pichoncito" no se como puedo estar tan jodidamente enchanda pero ¡LO ESTOY!. Es el vicio más grande y secreto después de que me trague todos los capítulos de Las Kardashian jajajaja.
Me gustan mucho este tipo de historias porque se como acabarán y no implica un excesivo drama, aunque siempre tienen un poco para no hacerlo terriblemente monotono. En la parte del sexo, van sobrados, hay de sobra y para todos jajaja. Estoy haciendo relectura de esta saga pero el siguiente libro no lo voy a releer porque no me llama demasiado, voy a saltar directamente al de Isaac. Es que aunque Joseph me interesa, el hecho de que incluyan magia y cosas así en una historia real y erótica me chirría mucho, así que me lo saltaré.
Recomiendo mucho estas historias para épocas en la que nada os interesa!

I suppose I have to face it, I've been postponing writing this review for almost a month just because I've got so many things to say about it but I'm lazy.
I'm still lazy so... I won't go deep in every issue. This is smut after all.
I don't think this is a stand alone (if there was a warning I didn't read it), there are some many things happening to the rest of the McCoys but I'm not complaining.
I loved the sex scene with Libby and Aron.
I'm looking forward to Joseph's fall, it'll better be epic for he needs a good spanking after how he behaved towards Acadia.
Noah... I just hope his love interest makes him suffer, really suffer. He has more than earned it. His grovel in this book wasn't enough for me, sorry not sorry.

This book was completely ridiculous.... There were so many things wrong with this novel, i honestly cant believe I finished it. My biggest problem with this book was the heroine.
The heroine was a pregnant virgin who happens to be dyslectic. I have nothing against people who are dyslectic, don't get me wrong. But you see, the heroine of this novel is sssoooooo hindered by her dyslexia that she couldn't finish high school, or read a sign or a legal agreement or write her name properly. HOWEVER, she confesses to the hero that she loves to read erotic romances AND has a list (which she WROTE btw) of things she wants to try with him. Wtf?

If only there were 1/2 stars. It's says 4 but it's really 3 and 1/2 ...
Ok... Here goes.. Love Jacob and Jessie, Jacob kept calling Jessie a doll but he was too me,he was sweet and kind and yummy and amazing ,insta love with the shifters or Vamps. Or any paranormal needed... But he needed to be a lot more Alpha at times, he sounded like one Hell of a lover but Jessie deserved more of a fighter! What jackass Noah pulls near the end of the book was nearly unforgivable,he's prejudiced towards Jessie from the get go, is ignorant of her and her past and Never tries to get to know her or enlighten himself, makes a snap judgement and later not only his mean and kinda cruel to her ( making a almost month pregnant woman walk from their ranch into town but his action almost get her killed after thanks to him she's kidnapped.. As loving as uber sweet as Jacob is Noah is the exact opposite and No matter how much Jacob loved his Brother he should gave Noah a Major ass kicking for just sticking nose in and cruel int lying to her much less what it lead to... What kinda man forgives what all Noah does at all ,much less that easily ? Is ridiculous....and while I like Jessie,she was just WAY TOO NICE and neither she nor Jacob should have forgiven Noah anytime soon... Soo what Noah put tot her the babies room thanks to Noah there almost was a baby ;( and I'm sorry Sable why I'm loving this series per say , why between book 16 ( where I started and by ok 1 and this book and from I can see book 3 at least as well why are all your men rather experienced or even whorish and the women are uber sweet,sometime naïve innocent virgins ? Why? Do the women either have to be either scheming, gold digging sluts or innocent naïve virgins ? Hello! Most us true women are somewhere in between, we're not sluts but we're not virgins either, we're not naive but we're scheming either and we have backbone and sass...
Please giv these girls some backbone ,NOBODY should be a doormat sweet it not.. And speaking of sweet, it wasn't sweet to see Joseph is really such a shallow jack ass or that Jacob and Jessie's story ended at 80% to start the back story for Joseph and Cady's , that Oooo I don't know ,aaaaaa should be in book three the one THAT IS Joseph and Cady's story ?
That bit ! I being this story at 80% to give us material that DHOULD be in the next book not this one!!!

Hot On Her Trail - Book 2 of the (Hell Yeah) Series

Sable Hunter outdid herself on this one! I really liked the story of Jessie and Jacob. The love scenes were scorching hot, the feelings that Jacob had were very sweet towards Jessie and her unborn baby. The story of how she came to be pregnant with his baby and still be a virgin was one his brothers didn't all embrace right off the bat. They were worried that she was a gold digger and that Jacob just fell head over heels crazy for her and this unborn baby before it was even proven that it was his.
The crazy man that is after Jessie, and has followed her to Jacobs home, creates all kinds of havoc and had the story a much deeper story line that I originally expected when starting the book. I was so caught up in the story line and wanting to make sure that Jessie was going to be safe and end up with Jacob before I could put the book down for the night. Now common sense tells anyone that the book will probably have a good outcome with everything tied up in a nice neat little bow, but Sable Hunter the author had me drawn into the story so deep with her great writing I couldn't put the book down. She writes hot love scenes, but it is so much more than the erotic writing, Sable is capable of writing a book that pulls you right in and has story lines that go beyond just an erotic tale.
I'm hoping Sable is working on another Hell Yeah book, I would like to see what happens with Isaac and the rest of the brothers. I have a feeling there is a women out there waiting to bring Isaac to down to his skeptical\ knees.....I'm waiting Sable!

Ok, just let me say up front I was lucky enough now at two different times now to get the first two books in this series. Sable Hunter is a fantastic storyteller in her own rite. That she feels a need to cater to Romantic Erotica is kinda of sad she has the ability to reach a whole lot wider audience with her stories they pull you in that much with the characters & the way they interact. Don't get me wrong erotica has its place & she does it so lovingly with two people truly in love that it is endearing. She tackles some real issues as she did in this story with not only family drama of trust but murder & fear, hatred, & forgiveness. But, the issues of the beauty within or outer was big & the learning disabilities were dealt so well with. talking about there being no shame & that there are computer programs to help. So many people with this problem & some schools do not even consider it a disability so yes there are still young people even today who are dropping out do to the fact that they cannot get the help they need. Again loved book as well as the first one can't wait to read the next. Even if the guys are alittle over the top with the mushy I think most women would take it over none.

The cheezy nicknames... Baby, Treasure, sweet doll... had me rolling my eyes continuously. The way Jacob talked dirty ... what woman likes that? I found myself annoyed with Jessie for being all goo-goo-eyed when he spoke to her that way. I would have preferred his dirty talk to be sexy rather than plain o' trashy.
The story idea is great, and when Jacob wasn't talking dirty I actually liked him. Even with its cheezy dialogue, I enjoyed the story and finished the book. And I give kudos to Ms. Hunter for creating a female character with a NORMAL body (although I wish she didn't hate it quite so much).
I downloaded this book for free. As a free read, it was fine. Had I paid for it I would have been disappointed. Sad thing is, I'm interested in Aron, Joseph, and Isaac's stories, but not willing to pay $5 to read them. (I read a piece of them at the end of this one, and the cheezy / dirty talk is present there as well.) If these stories were edited (or re-edited), revising some of the dialogue, correcting grammatical errors and story inconsistencies, they could be wonderful. There's real potential here.

Wow I’m really not sure how to rate, or review this book. The language for the sexually encounters is adult, so no one under the age of 18 should read this book. Those encounters are pure fantasies. With that being said if you want to read a good trashy romance this one is for you. The story itself was good. Jessie had the worst parents growing up giving her a complex that she is ugly, and weigh too much. Her father died early in her childhood. Later on, both her mom, and step dad died. So she is all alone and pregnant, trying to do the best she can. She goes to Jacob to tell him he is the father of her baby. Jacob instantly falls in love. He is so cheesy. Jacob has a huge, loving family. It was easy to fall in love with most of his brothers in the book. The villain of this story was a mean man that has a screw or two loose. The humorous part is he has a tiny peepee, so he can’t hurt Jessie in that way. So parts of this book had me laughing, while others tugged at my heart for Jessie and what she was going though, and what she had faced in her life. I was appalled at the language, so I’m going to give this book a 3.

i loved this book. it had all of the elements that i look for in a great love story/cowboy fantasy. the characters were intriguing and had depth and drew me into the story effortlessly.
i found my self becoming angry,sad,happy and all the other emotions right along with the hero and heroine. i am already planning to read it again just in case i missed anything and i can't WAIT fot the next book in the series so i can find out what happens with them next not to mention the hero brothers that have their own stories to tell.

I liked it, even with the bad cover, all the editing errors and the million silly pet names.
There is alot of steam in the book. I see potential and really do want to read the other brother's stories.

Ele é o mais sentimental, sempre disposto a acreditar em milagres e que tudo vai dar certo, como citam no livro "Jacob é a cola que mantém todo mundo unido."
A Jessie tenho que confessar que me irritou, essa ladainha o livro todo de não ser boa o bastante cansa, mesmo entendendo, cansa.
O livro é uma delicinha de ler, como o primeiro, aquele romance bem açucarado pra gente falar um oi pra "tia betes", nesse rola uma tensão, mas como todo bom e velho romance clichê, temos nosso felizes para sempre!

This was a very interesting concept for a book and I did like the plot and characters. Maybe it’s because I haven’t read much from this author, but it just seemed all over the place. Jumping from one person to a next. It was really hard to keep up even though the story sucked me in. I loved Jessie and how sweet she way, the suspense aspect kept the story moving, and the steam added another element to it. I might read more from this author, but I can’t be 100% certain. 3 stars because it was hard for me to really follow the story with out being confused. #2OCCJD

La misma puntuación que en el primer libro, sigo con lo mismo, siento que la traducción no es la mejor para acompañarlo con la narración que hacen, otro punto es que se van de una perspectiva a otra en un santiamén y debes leer dos veces para comprobar que estás leyendo bien.
Siento que para mi los personajes son fuertes, pero si les dieran otro tipo de narración o no se como decirlo.

Hot on her Trail
Not as good as I had hoped but still 4 stars
Jacob McCoy has wanted a family for a while now and seeing his brother Aron with his girl Libby has only made him want it more. When Jessie Montgomery shows up on his doorstep broke, homeless and claiming that through a mix up at the sperm bank she was pregnant with his child, well he was beyond happy. He doesn’t care that he just met her and knows nothing about her. He can tell from the start that she isn’t there to cause trouble and only wants what’s best for the baby. Too bad not everyone in the family is on board and only wants Jessie gone.
Jessie Montgomery has not felt loved since her father died when she was young. Her mother never cared for her and her step father deemed her stupid because she wasn’t able to able to read due to having severe dyslexia. Both of them often put her down and made her feel ugly, stupid and unwanted. When she was approached by a couple offering big money to be a surrogate mother, she accepted needing the money but was already having doubts before the mistake was found out. She was relieved to be able to give the money back and leave with the baby but the McCay’s were not nice people and Keith McCay lost it when she disappeared. Jessie already knew that something wasn’t right with him but she had no clue that he was capable of murder.
I didn’t like this book near as much as I liked book one mainly because of two things. I hated the pet names that Jacob had for Jessie. Doll, Treasure, and worst of all Lamb-Chop, please… what women would like to be called any of those names let alone be turned on by them?. The other was the sex talk between Jacob and Jessie was really bad as well. Jessie is innocent in every way, never having felt loved and when you add in that she can’t read, is a virgin AND pregnant, yes I know, a little too farfetched, I just couldn’t see her acting the way that she was written in the story. As for Jacob, his dirty talk was just that, dirty.
The saving grace of the story was the fact that there is a really good story in between all the things above. Wondering just how far Keith McCay will go before he finally catches Jessie had me on the edge of my seat at times and when he does catch her, I almost lost it with the amount of sorrow that the rest of the family was going through. I also loved the fact that since they live on ranch with the rest of the family, you get the interactions of Libby, Aron and Nathan. Those are by far my favorite characters of the family.
Up next is the story between Joseph and Cady. Joseph was injured in Book one and is now paralyzed and he has heard that Cady in a physical therapist that can produce miracles.

The McCoy family of Texas have a lot of boys. I'm not sure but there may be six of them. Jacob's story is the second and he is the second eldest brother. He is sweet and quite the ladies' man for a while, but lately he has been looking for the 'one' and kept his jeans zipped up tight. Good timing for him because Jessie is four months pregnant with his child because of a mess-up with the names at the cryogenics's lab. She was supposed to be surrogate mother for family McCay. The McCay's are a nasty bunch and the husband Mr. McCay is a sneaky pervert because he was trying to get into Jessie's pants behind his wife's back.
Jessie is a virgin, so lucky for her she has 'proof' that she isn't a slut like the McCay's paint her out to be.

I loved the first book in the series Cowboy Heat so this starts off with the last page of the first book, but you don't have to read it to get this story although there are so many brothers it is tough to keep them straight.

Jessie is poor, pregnant and homeless. She got caught up in a surrogate pregnancy deal gone wrong. She goes to meet Jacob, who is supposed to be her baby's true father. Jacob falls for her as soon as he sees her (even before he knows about the baby) but she doesn't believe it (she's a beauty that thinks she's plain...). This causes issues as Jacob tries to win Jessie and she thinks it's just about the baby.
She is a virgin (even though she's pregnant) and it's an interesting twist to the story. However; I kind of wished she hadn't been because she went from innocent to "Wowza!" in 2.5 seconds and it was...unexpected.
Jacob manages to get their relationship in to a comfortable place when someone decides to mess things up for him (I don't mean the stalker, you'll see it coming). This causes Jessie to become vulnerable and the stalker comes calling. Things work out and there is a HEA.

Bem mediano!
Bem, como eu categorizei essa série como aquela pra relaxar, eu nem fico analisando muito a história, pq se não ferrou!
Mais uma vez (eu acho que em todos os livros) aconteceu o vapt-vupt entre os personagens, aquele amor que surge do nada - que meu deus!
Não gostei dessa mocinha achei chatinha e mimizenta, mesmo analisando por tudo que ela já passou, pela as barras que ela já aguentou, sei lá sabe... ela se desvaloriza muito, sempre com uma baixa autoestima, enfim... Me irritei em diversas vezes com ela!
Já o Jacob gostei dele fofo-mandão-mas-doce, um chuchu! *_*
Outra coisa que eu achei estranho, foi que a Jessie sofreu uns traumas e ela nem se abalou, se fosse comigo eu iria ficar arrasada. Enfim...
Gostei do draminha que a autora colocou chegando ao final.
Oh, fiquei PUTA com o Noah!
E de novo, pra quem curte romance com bastante vuco vuco vai amar!
Se recomendo?! Sim, bom pra passar o tempo.

HELL YEAH! THIS SERIES IS WILD, CRAZY, HOTT SEXXY, FUNNY, UNPREDICTABLE AND SOME THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN THE BOOK IS WOO-HOO-CRAZZZZZZY! I LOVE IT! AFTER GETTING HOOKED WITH THE FIRST ONE I KNEW I WAS GOING TO READ THEM ALL, SO FAR IT'S GOING TO BE 10 IN THE SERIES. JACOB & JESSIE, I LOVED JACOB'S CHARACTER HE WAS ONE SUPER HUNG, FUN LOVIN' GUY, HE WAS PACKIN' AND HE NEW HOW TO USE HIS WEAPON. JESSIE ON THE OTHER HAND WAS SO BROKEN SHE WAS ANNOYING AT TIMES, WITH HER I HAD TO THINK HAPPY THOUGTHS SO I WOULDN'T TOTALLY HATE HER. LIFE ON TEBOW RANCH IS NEVER, NEVER DULL. I WANTED TO GIVE THIS 4 1/2 STARS BUT YA' CAN'T, I LIKE READING THIS SERIES IT MAKES ME LOL, I SMILE WHEN I READ THEM, MAKES ME HAPPY. ;D
