Egypt: Land of the Pharaohs
Ancient even to the ancients, Egypt was a great nation a thousand years before the Minoan civilization was established in Crete. It was viewed by the Greeks and Romans of 2,000 years ago with the same awe with which we view ancient Rome and Greece today.

This book was one of the best pre-holiday investments that I ever made; A couple of years ago whilst staying in Luxor I completely relied upon this book and it was a godsend for planning trips and ensuring that I knew exactly what was what (thus saving ourselved from being ripped off by taxi drivers!).
If you're planning a trip to Egypt and you want to visit the tombs and temples, then I cannot recommend this book enough. Ideal.
