This is a fabulous book. The designs are so fresh and fun. The directions are great. And best of all...full sized patterns are included. Can’t wait to make some of these fun bags.

I considered making a couple of items from this book, but I found the hand-drawn illustrations to be difficult to follow, especially after reading the instructions. I also don't feel that the difficulty levels for the projects are accurate. I have been sewing most of my life and have sewn a couple of bags in the last year, but even the "easy" projects in this book look a bit difficult and overcomplicated to me.

What would improve this book is photographs of the actual steps, preferably with more descriptive labels; sketches of the pieces that need to be cut (those may have been included with a physical copy of the book, but not the digital copy I read); a better explanation of terms such as "D drop"; and perhaps a simpler version of each pattern with ideas to enhance the pattern which might be more difficult. For the last point, one example is the scalloped edge of the pocket on the shopping bag. Since this is labeled as an "easy" project, just make it a straight edge, or better yet, leave the pocket off altogether.

Cute looking bag. Poor pictures of finished product. Hard to see details of bags. Gave it a low rating because of this. Wouldn’t try a bag because of that.
