She is a Japanese manga artist known for creating The Magic Touch and Oresama Teacher which have both been serialized on the Hana to Yume magazine.
Tsubaki began drawing manga in her first year of high school. She was soon selected to be in the top 10 of Hana to Yume Mangaka Course, and subsequently won the Big Challenge contest.

In volume 5 we continue the beach arc from the previous volume, as well as introduce a new antagonist.
This volume wasn’t my favourite of the ones we’ve had so far. I definitely thought the beach chapter in the previous volume was a filler chapter, so I was pretty surprised when the story arc continued into this volume. It could be that I’m biased against Takaomi, but I didn’t really enjoy the plot of that arc, and while I imagine it will play a larger role later on, it did seem kind of random (even for this series). I did like getting more time with the Banchou though, he’s a pretty funny character and I like his interactions with Mafuyu and how he’s starting to rely on her a bit more. But that last chapter is really what redeemed the volume for me. The ninja seriously makes me laugh, and I don’t remember much from my first read of this series, but his character was super memorable. The whole scenario was absolutely ridiculous and had me laughing uncontrollably.
As for those bonus 4-koma chapters, I enjoyed getting to see more of Mafuyu’s hometown, and the dynamics between the different schools, though most of these really missed their mark in terms of humour. The best was easily Sakurada’s part, and because of this insight I got a better understanding as to why his followers like him so much.

Mafuyu is away at boarding school to clean up her thugish ways and runs into the man who influenced her, who is now a teacher, Takaomi Saeki. She has finally made her first friend, Hayasaka, a rather dense thug. Together they are the Public Morals Club!
Takaomi Saeki is so cool! And such a mega delinquent haha! I love the drawings especially of the fighting! The outrageous story is funny too!! You really don't know what you'll get when you pick up a volume but you are certain to laugh out loud. That is what I look forward to each and every time...
Takaomi Saeki is really very heavily involved in this volume which I love. Sharing a past with Mafuyu yet being her teacher now, he is many times in the background. This time the two of them pretend to be a couple (I'm not sure either one really knows a healthy relationship...) and of course get into a fight and its to protect someone else but really to fight. I loved this whole situation they get into at the mansion. Mafuyu recedes into the background and we really focus on Saeki.
He has a way about him... "Stop thinking about it. What do you want to do?!" Loved that... Later he asked Mafuyu what she'd do if there was something she wanted in front of her: "I'd take it." She replied! He's such a mystery that I'm a lot like Mafuyu about him, totally puzzled many times as he jerks her around, but this time he revealed glimpses of the real man that were intriguing.
I also love Bancho! He's so soft yet his instinct is to hit, haha. This flower fluff story was funny... This is how friends are made!
The ninja chapter was odd and yet funny with Hayasaka so stupid!
Loved the extras, so funny that was her brother!
BOTTOM LINE: Hilarious with some deeper hints...

One of my favorite volumes so far! Mafuyu and Takaomi spend a three-day weekend together in a mansion, the Bancho returns to learn more about friendship and a wild ninja appears! This is an amazingly fun, very random but also romantic manga series. You never really know what you're going to get when you pick up the next volume in this series and that is something that is really refreshing. So many longer series become predictable after awhile, but I have yet to have that experience with Oresama Teacher.

Kalau lihat sifat-sifat karakter di komik ini tuh suka bikin ngakak sendiri *yha namanya juga komik komedi*. Banchou yang garang, ternyata lembut sama tanaman. Terus punya sahabat pena dan selalu nulis surat dengan bahasa yang alay bin lebay *kalau dilihat dari ekspresinya Takaomi pas baca suratnya*. Hayasakan yang sok-sokan jadi berandalan, ternyata nggak terlalu jago dan mungkin ini hanya pelarian dia jadi berandalan #imo.
Terus muncul lagi musuh yang lain. Anggota OSIS yang suka jadi ninja, tapi bukan ninja dan menganggumi Miyabi. Udahlah pake jurus ninja dan karena kepolosan Hayasaka, selalu digagalkan *apalagi adegan lubang udaranya ditutup pake plastik, karena nggak kuat, akhirnya terbang wahahahahaha (*≧▽≦)*.
Cerita tambahan juga nggak kalah lawak. Pas Sakurada jadi cewek dan nyamar ke Sekolah Utara, terus suruh sapa banchounya, ehh banchounya malah kepikiran gitu kkk.

I'm so conflicted. the princess and bodyguard's story is a bit weird? like why's it suddenly their story like who tf are they ???? it doesn't even have satisfying closure too in the end 😩 the last chapter is so funny tho their stupidity is ✨astounding✨

I really like parts of this manga, but for some reason, I keep losing track of the narrative. Also, many of the characters look alike to me, so I keep getting confused as to who is who.

I am enjoying this series, and am a little frustrated that I am so far behind because I never get to the bookstore and they never seem to have the volumes or series that I want. Um, anyway... This volume was good.
It starts off pretty much where the last one ended, with Mafuyu (the main character) and Saeki (her teacher) at the beach, hanging out or whatever. Mafuyu is helping Saeki out on something, and they end up, rather hilariously, trying to pretend to be a couple. Then they save these two people from some gang members, and going with those two people, who turn out to be servants at this mansion place, and then helping out the rich girl who lives there (who forms a kinship with Saeki, because of their similar personalities) and her servants for a couple of chapters. It was all fun and cute, and very funny, and it's been too long since I read it. (Augh, I've been putting off a couple of my manga reviews for far too long, and now the books are a little too blurry in my mind and my excitement for them has lessened way too much.)
Then there is a chapter about Okegawa (the bancho), who saves some flowers and starts being followed by flowers and wants a close friend, and he hangs out with Mafuyu and Hayasaka. Mafuyu finds out that her fellow masochistic friend was the mysterious person in town in the previous volume (I believe?), while Hayasaka and Okegawa stay oblivious to the fact that he was looking for her. And Mafuyu and Okegawa are still oblivious to the fact that they have been sending letters to each other; which I am looking forward to them finding/am hoping they find out soon.
In the (kind of) last chapter, Mafuyu and Hayasaka get, um, warning letters from, I believe, the student council, and one of their members (or someone from that club they are unknowingly competing against?) starts following them, in a rather ninja like style. Mafuyu, and even Saeki, become aware of it and are suspicious, but Hayasaka is oblivious.
And then there are, maybe, twenty pages of strip-comics, mostly featuring the gang from Mafuyu's old school and the gang they competed against (I think?). This wasn't as funny as I was hoping, since I didn't know (or remember?) some of the characters, but once I got used to them, it was. And I liked seeing her second and third from her old gang, as they are so much fun to watch.
This was a good volume (this is a good series), and I want to read the next one. They're usually really funny and I'm enjoying reading about the characters, and hoping that they'll stick in my head better soon (since sometimes after I read a volume, the characters and what happened, is just gone from my memory, and I have to do a somewhat thorough skim of the book in order to remember). I'm really hoping to get the next one soon. But, we'll see.

My Thoughts:
This one picks up where the last book left off. Mafuyu and Takaomi are still at the beach waiting around for a group of muggers to come and attack them. Takaomi really wants to let off some steam. When the muggers go after some other people instead, Takaomi immediately steps in. He waits until they call almost all of their gang to really let loose and ends up taking them all out by himself. Mafuyu seems terrified by him at first, but it seems she's actually mostly in awe of him. She really is a delinquent.
After that, the two of them get invited to the house of family the two people they saved serve and meet a rich girl who is having some romantic troubles. For his own reasons, Takaomi ends up helping her out. We get a flashback to the conversation he was having that seemed to have led up to his need to release some tension and get a little more of an idea of what is making him use Mafuyu and Hayasaka the way that he is. Takaomi is scary, but I really like him.
Back at school, Mafuyu notices that someone is following her and Hayasaka around. Hayasaka doesn't notice at all, but he manages to thwart the guy at every turn. It seems that one of the student council members has decided to find out Mafuyu's and Hayasaka's weaknesses. It doesn't work at all, though.
After all of that, we get some comic strips featuring how things are going back in Mafuyu's old town. They were hysterical and I really liked seeing Maizono and Kangawa again.

This is a volume that I adore and dread simultaneously.
It's my third time reading it, so I knew going into it that I just needed to get through the first half.
We start with Mafuyu and Takaomi still at the beach, eventually joined by six thugs--and then 30 more. The fight gives us some deeper insight into Takaomi's character, but I feel like it drags on for too long.
Then we've got the mansion arc, where Takaomi helps a rich tsundere and her butler get together. There are, of course, a number of funny scenes in the first half of the book, and I like the focus on Takaomi. I just feel like it goes on for too long.
Then we get to the second half, which is Bancho-centric, meaning I'm sold on it immediately. The whole "flower spirit" thing was killing me, especially when Bancho and Mafuyu were increasingly scared of the notes being left by the "spirit." We also see development in their friendship, which makes me happy.

Welcome to the volume where I once again have no clue what's going on with Takaomi. Despite having a story pretty much devoted to him, the details they reveal about his past are still way too cryptic. And why does he want to take Mafuyu with him all the time? The author says at one point in a later note that the rich girl's story IS Takaomi's, but I'm still not quite making the connection.
Kyotaro's story was pretty funny. It's cute how he gets flustered around Mafuyu, and I'm glad they've become friends.
The last story seemed like more of a set-up for future stories. It's funny that Hayasaka can't seem to tell someone's following them. I still wonder what the student prez's goal is- just to mess with them? And what is the goal of his nameless underling? I guess we'll see.

This volume loses a star just for how annoyed I am to have all these characters I don't remember show up. I feel like I entirely forgot volume 3 or something because all the characters related to the old school I can't recall clearly. I need a little chart of their positions or something because the things I thought I knew apparently weren't right like when did East get a new young Bancho? I can't recall that story at all. I know my memory is bad, especially since I thought that trip to the old school was just a waste (before I knew how random and unconnected the plot in this series would really be), but it would've been months since the characters were in the manga so some kind of reminder wouldn't be out of place.

Mafuyu is a yanki girl who is Bachou at her school. She gets expelled and is forced to go to another school by her mother. Now she wants to lead a normal life as an ordinary school girl and now is her chance.

Fun story with the leads helping people in a beach town. Mystery new enemy on the horizon. And great series of 4-panels about side characters at the end.
