NURSE VACCINE by Justin Noble (Body Village Series for Children)

The Body Village children's series illustrates for young readers, in drawing and text, the inner workings of the human physiology. It also promotes cooperation, teamwork, friendship, as well as doing one's best to the best of our abilities, efficiency, and striving for the good of all.
Raymond Brain calls a village meeting of all members of the Body Village to discuss an important matter of health: vaccinations. Explaining to each member what could happen in terms of illness, pain, and discomfort if the vaccines are not taken, he also encourages all members to consider the health of other Villages because many illnesses can be passed to others as well as be dangerous to ourselves.

Suitable for young children of the read-to stage, and young elementary readers.

I chose to read this book after receiving a free copy. All of the opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Nurse Vaccine is a My Body Village book. These children’s books are about different parts of the body because it “takes a village to make a healthy child.”

Nurse Vaccine is coming to give everyone in the village a shot and they’re all a little apprehensive until Raymond Brain explains why it is important to get a vaccine. They’re still not thrilled about getting the shot but they agree that it would be better than getting sick.

In this fun and colorful book, Nurse Vaccine will help children understand that getting a shot only hurt for a few seconds and prevents them from getting sick for much longer.

First impression was that I thought this to be a little strange really.. it’s different. I see that boys might like it more but I can also see that any child might find it funny for different body parts talking to each other. Like Raymond Brain talking to Betty Bladder about the last time they were sick.

It is kind of silly and informative for younger children in a way that helps them learn about their bodily functions.

I thought to be different but not a bad way just imaginative and maybe a little strange.

This is a wonderful children's book for parents to read their child who needs a vaccine. The illustrations are very well done. The illustrations of the body parts and what they say are fantastic. I received this book from Smith Publicity for a fair and honest opinion.
