After a successful career in corporate PR & marketing, including driving the profitable launch of a B2C US Corporation in the UK, Sally took time away from her career to raise her family. With a passion for cooking combined with the belief that young children can achieve and learn so much more from cooking than parents realise (her two young daughters at the time were clear evidence) Sally launched The Purple Kitchen Company in 2000. Committed to building an authentic business, Sally welcomed Kate Morris to the company and focused on delivering innovative cooking classes for children from the age of 2 years old.

Together Sally and Kate went on to be co-divisors of CBeebies, i can cook. With 102 programmes across 4 series this week day show is full of recipes and fun. i can cook now appears on TV in over 150 countries. The concept went on to become a multi-platform product with live shows at Butlins, an extensive kitchenware range with Lakeland and cookery books.

Sally is married with two adult daughters and two Labradors who always appear at recipe testing time!

Her parents were restaurant owners and food retailers.
