Wagner advances his controversial thesis on “territorial spirits.” That aside, there is much in this book that needs to be taken seriously. As we are seeing a Christian civilization rapidly recede in America, along with its being attacked openly in politics, we need to be honest about the possibility that the kingdom of darkness could make a small (if ultimately doomed) offensive. This was a book primarily about strategic-level spiritual warfare. That is, fighting against the evil in control of cities or countries. However, it gave needed background on the spiritual worldview. There were riveting examples of personal-level warfare also. Enough to make me think "Wow. This stuff really goes on around us every day."
