I can't really say that I liked it, but it is definitely worthwhile! Dr. Jensen's goal for the book is to make people think about their bowels to improve their health. I had to dive into the world of the large intestine pretty intensely several years back. I was a colon hydrotherapist, and this book is considered as an essential read to anyone in the field. Fortunally, I no longer deal with people's crap. However, I would recommend this insightful and often extreme book for someone who would like to radically alter their perception on digestion and excretion.
I think his methods are a little extreme, okay maybe a lot extreme. However after reading the book, I have to agree with him that many of the maladies of are day can be attributed to an unhealthy bowel. Very informative, however I am not prepared to take on the full undertaking of the "cleanse" but I can definitely use a moderate one.
Definitely learned a lot of interesting and disgusting things. Full of a lot of information about the bowel, toxins, and embryology, and a lot of suggestions on how to heal. Full of remedies and 'common knowledge' that you'd expect your grandmother or great grandmother new very well but we have forgotten. Also full of very interesting ideas and good theories.
