Bleach #2

Bleach, Tome 2: Goodbye Parakeet, Good Night My Sista

Rate this book

Continuation up to Vol 646+

I used to ship these two:

description

But *spoiler alert* when I found out that Nanao is Shunsui's niece, then I abandoned ship immediately. Fuck this.

I'm still at The Thousand-Year Blood War arc and holy shit, the Soul King (the most powerful being in all Seireitei is fucking useless. How can you stand there and let the enemy stab you without even lifting a powerful finger?!

Fucking useless, I say.

Another thing...

Aizen is here and he's still the most badass villain ever to grace this manga. Is it wrong to support the dude who almost killed the protagonist of the story?Because I am rooting for Aizen now..

"I'm begging you, Ichi! That kid... Save that kid, please!" [Karin]

In Volume 2 we see the progress of the relationship and the teamwork between Ichigo and Rukia, but the actual focus of most of the story is put on the character of Chad (Sado Yasutora), one of Ichigo's classmates. Chad gets involved into a dangerous situation after meeting a talking parakeet with a child's soul stuck in it. Since I watched the anime, I knew the story already, but, to be honest, this storyline portrayed in the manga made me much more tear up than in the anime (I did not think it will be possible, but here I am). I cannot imagine the horror that the poor child had to get through, just for entertainment of a sick man (hollow). I admire Chad so much for his behavior in this volume. He knew that he's getting into danger with every second he kept the bird close, but he stubbornly didn't let go of it, trying to keep the animal safe. Yes, I know that Chad is stronger than an average human, so he could survive more than everyone else, but still, he didn't have to be the animal's guard. It was purely his choice.

I also have to say that it pains me that the boy never met his mother again. He went through so much just to see her and it never happened :(

"He was created for the convenience of your Soul Society and he'll be killed for Soul Society's convenience too...? [Ichigo to Rukia]

In the second part of Vol 2, the smaller part, we got an introduction to Kon, a mod-soul, and his story. To be completely honest, I was never a big fan of this character (mostly because of his obsession with women), but I couldn't help, but sympathize with him while reading his chapters. He was created by scientists for a specific purpose and when his assistance was no longer needed, he was casted out like his existence didn't matter in the slightest (I bet it's all Mayuri's fault!!). So no wonder that when he got a new body (and with it a new chance of life), he got along with it. I'm so glad that both Ichigo and Rukia sympathized with him and decided to keep him. He's annoying, I admit that, but he has a good heart and truly cares about both Ichigo and Rukia.

P.S. the fact that Kon decided to not stomp on the ants is just amazing. It's a small moment, barely relevant, but it says much about Kon's character (it also ties up to his past).

P.P.S. the other small scene that I really loved in Vol 2 is the one between Urahara and Ururu. "Why are you crying? We're a team, right?" He was so gentle with her, it was such a cute scene.

Oh, and also I don't know how the others who read the manga feel about it, but for me Urahara seems more handsome in the manga than in the anime!

Oh, and also I wouldn't want to have either Karin or Tatsuki as an enemy. They become true demons when they get angry! :D

This volume is even better then the first. We get to meet Chad and Mr Hat and Clogs. We get more info on Hollows and we get to know Rukia more. We also see poor Karin getting sick over this poor suffering soul of a little boy. We also learn that Ichigo doesn't like killing. He saves the Mod soul even after the damage it caused in his body. This volume was very action packed.... this whole series is going to action packed so that's a given. Overall, this manga series is going to be one heck of a fun ride.

Another excellent installment in this series. It continues right where it left off and completes the parakeet arc while demonstrating Chad's brute strength. This volume also explores a tragic invention by the Soul Society called a mod soul and it brings incredible emotional depth to certain characters while also building the lore.

Tak bardzo odkrywam tą serię na nowo. I przypominam sobie dlaczego ją aż tak lubiłam. W sumie całkiem dobrze się bawię czytając Bleacha od początku więc na pewno będę kontynuować

Is your favorite type of genre anime? If you like anime and action books, this will be the one for you. The book, Bleach volume 2, is written by the author Tite Kubo. Tite Kubo is a very interesting man, he has won quite a few awards. He has a wide variety of books to choose from. The genre of my book is manga, the manga is a type of Japanese comic book. I feel like young adults who like manga or Japanese culture would like this book. Bleach is a good way to stay entertained and it is very interesting to read.

Tite Kubo is a great manga artist. His most popular book series is Bleach. Bleach has 74 volumes and is one of the biggest series out there right now. There will be no more books coming out anymore but it should take you awhile to finish the series. The chapters are well spread out and very interesting. I like the way he has the chapters go where one chapter is about one set of characters and the next chapter is about another set of characters.

Tite Kubo has won several awards for his amazing work on his most popular series Bleach. One of the awards he has won was Shogakukan Manga Award and that is just one of many. Tite Kubo received this award in 2004. Tite Kubo first Manga comic was published in 2001 in Japan. From that time forward he has written 74 volumes but has stopped after that.

If you are not a fan of his amazing series of Bleach you have other options to choose from. One is called ZombiePowder. If that doesn't sound interesting to you he has another series called Ultra Unholy Hearted Machine. His first book was published in the mid-90s, which was ZombiePowder. After that, his next work was Ultra Unholy. Most of his books main focus is the fights. That's what makes his work stick out.

When I was reading this book, the title Bleach, made no sense to me. The storyline or theme of the book had no resemblance in the title. I wanted to know more about why it was called, Bleach, so I looked up some theories about why people believe it’s called that. When I was going through some comments and reviews. One theory is that shinigami “cleanse” souls, which is similar to bleach. Bleach removes stains, kinda like shinigami do with souls. Shinigami are supernatural spirits (also known as “death gods”), they lead humans to their death.

Tite Kubo has such a unique writing style that really sticks out from the other Manga writers. His writing styles really focus on the action and not so much of the characters. His fight scenes are known for quick cuts and dramatic angle changes between panels. He has very little stuff going on in the background. Which makes the main focus of the story stand out more. Therefore, it will make it easier to read the theme of the book.

Bleach Volume 2 Review

Manga Rating: 5 stars out of 5. (I highly doubt I would rate this series under 5 stars. I loved the anime so much, but I will see as I get to the last volumes if my opinion changes.)

Story Line: 5 stars out of 5. This continues from where the other volume left off. Chad left Ichigo's clinic with the parakeet. He is still in danger. He is trying to hide from the hollow that is chasing him. Meanwhile, Karin, saw the memories of what happened to that boy. She fell ill which is not like her. Ichigo questions if he can sense the spirit in the boy of that bird. Rukia tells him that it is not possible because the boy had such a weak spirit. Ichigo tries to do it anyway and is able to find him. When they find him Chad starts running away from them.

Karin now leaves the house to make her way to Ichigo. She feels so horrible that she is not able to walk well. Knowing that Ichigo would not be able to concentrate while his sister was there Rukia tells him to take his sister home. As she is carrying him home Karin tells Ichigo about the memories that the young boy has. She tells him that he witnessed his mother's murder. She said she probably only was able to sense it because she was close in age with him. She also tells her brother to tell the young boy that he would be with his mother again if he went to the soul society. He wouldn't be alone anymore. After that Ichigo starts running back to help Chad and Rukia. He is also very worried about his sister. He hadn't seen his sister cry since there mother died. It was hard for him to see.

Rukia is now running after Chad when the hollow attacks. Her gigai doesn't really have enough energy. She lets the hollow sneak up on her. Rukia proceeds to fight the hollow. She noticed that she gained some of her powers back, but they are not strong enough. The hollow, Shrieker, laughs at her. Telling her that she doesn't have enough energy to hurt him. Also that he has killed a lot of soul reapers in the past.

Chad comes to try to help Rukia. He ends up punching Shrieker, but he cannot see him. Shrieker is pretty shocked that a mere human was able to hit him. Rukia is shocked as well. He punches him again and Shrieker goes into the air. Chad hits him with a light pole.

Rukia and Chad come up with a plan for her to get him, but Shrieker spits leeches at Rukia. He uses his tongue to blow them up.

Eventually Ichigo finally arrives. He starts to fight Shrieker. Shrieker explains his life story to Ichigo. He used to be a serial killer until Yuichi ties his shoes together and he trips over a balcony. When he became a hollow he went after Yuichi. Told Yuichi if he allowed to chase him for three months he would bring his mother back to life. That was a complete lie. Ichigo rips out his tongue and kills him.

The gates of the underworld pop up and take Shrieker away.

Ichigo sends Yuichi to the Soul Society in the end. Chad asks Yuichi before he leaves if he could carry him on his shoulder again after he dies.

I really enjoyed this volume. It was such a sad story. I felt bad for the little boy. He was so cute and innocent. No child should have had to be subjected to that.

Also in this volume you meet 5 more characters. Rukia goes to Urahara's shop to pick up more her order. Ururu accidentally gives her a defective product.

Rukia tells Ichigo that if she is not around and he needs to become a soul reaper to use the substitute soul. Ichigo swallows it and a mod soul is inserted into his body. Ichigo is worried about him because he doesn't act like him at all. The mod soul then completely takes over Ichigo's body in general.

He ends up jumping to Ichigo's classroom. He starts causing trouble with the other students. Orihime is the only one that could tell that the person in his body was not Ichigo. Ichigo was right to worry about him. Ichigo and the mod soul fight.

The mod soul then runs away in Ichigo's body. Another hollow appears and the real Ichigo needs to go fight it. The imposter runs away and ends up at the junior high school. There he sees students playing a game instead of being in gym class. They talk about destroying their characters. The mod soul gets mad and attacks them. He breaks their game. The teacher catches the students.

The mod soul was supposed to be destroyed like all the other mod souls. He never really got to have an existence.

Later the kids come under attack by the hollow. The mod soul tries to save them, but gets hurt. The real Ichigo comes and defeats the hollow. After it's dead the mod soul kicks it. He starts to fall, but Ichigo catches his body.

Then Urahara and his team shows up. They were going to take back the mod soul, but Rukia decides to keep him. They put him in a stuffed animal and they name him Kon.

Characters: 5 stars out of 5. I love Ichigo and Chad.
Rukia is alright.
I love Kisuke Urahara and his group. They are a very entertaining bunch.
Kon kind of annoyed me throughout the whole show. He literally just one of the comedy relief characters. (Always destined to be that way.)

Chad disappears from the Kurosaki Clinic with a talking parakeet containing the soul of a young boy named Yuichi. Rukia and Ichigo quickly realize a hollow must be involved.

The first half of this volume was so weird and stupid. I didn't care one tiny bit about Yuichi and the dumb parakeet. So maybe I'm a sociopath or something but it came out of left field and it was gone in a flash. How could I possibly care?

The second half with the mod konpaku was more interesting to me. I guess we'll see what happens, I'll be very disappointed if that's over and done with in a couple chapters too.

You cannot go wrong with my girl Rukia on the cover.

I thought the second volume was solid and similar in quality to the first. We finally get to see more characters like Kisuke being introduced but for the most part its still just Ichigo hunting a hollow or two. The weakest part of the chapter was by far that boring ass generic fight, up there in the most boring anime fights but the rest was really entertaining.

Chad is a good addition, he just got that swag man there's no denying it and that little Parakeet might be one of the cutest things I seen in a while.

Again some slightly deeper subjects were being traversed amidst of all the goofiness. I liked how Ichigo wants to spare the Mod thing.

You can tell Kubo really enjoys drawing Rukia, she has such a distinct style. One of my complains would be that she's kind of a joke and Ichigo is 10x more useful than her since Chapter 1 but atleast she got the swageroo

Week 2

Another amazing volume for this series!
In this one we have these two main stories:
> The continuation and conclusion of the parakeet story ()
> The introduction of the mod soul, what it is, how to use one, how it behaves and some cool backstory about it ()

Art is still amazing, love the dynamics and how we have different main stories inside the single volume, if this is the structure kept for the whole series it's a big yes from me!

2nd volume read today, couldn't help myself. Not as good as the first but still very enjoyable. Mod soul is just as funny in the manga as he is in the anime and the whole story with parakeet and chad was definitely the highlight of this volume, really emotional story that hits hard. The rest of the remaining 8 chapters were just mod soul causing trouble really and nothing too serious, hence the lower rating but still enjoyable.
