While I enjoyed Savor, I have to say, I loved Indulge. In Indulge, we are introduced to a new cast of characters, the most memorable being Claire’s real parents. I mean, honestly, it’s about time the poor girl gets to meet dear old mom and dad. I never really formed a connection with Claire’s first set of vampire parents; whose names elude me. Well, obviously they didn’t make a huge impression on me. But, the point I am trying to make is that Claire’s real parents are about a million times bette ...more

I was so glad that I got to read this! I loved the first book in the series Savor!! She followed that one up with an amazing continuation. Again I'm left with awww come on are you sure there are no more pages?? EEEK! No, it's not too short it's just I wan't more! Megan's writing is beautiful and intense... and action packed!

The characters we are introduced to in Indulge are fascinating. Claire thought she felt at home before well now she knows it. Again they are well

READ THE ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE REVIEW AT WORD SPELUNKING

Megan Duncan continues to impress and enthrall me with her consistently awesome books! INDULGE, the second volume in the Warm Delicacy series, is a captivating and satisfying sequel to Savor.

MY BRIEF SUMMARY
INDULGE picks up right where Savor ended, with Claire and Arrick fleeing the Palace and heading to Naos and Claire’s real, vampire parents. Still feeling the sting of recent betrayals from those she loved, Claire is hesitant to allow he

A few months ago I had the chance to review Savor by Megan Duncan. (If you haven't read it, check out my review here.) Today I had the chance to review it's exciting sequel, Indulge.

Indulge continues the story of seventeen year old Claire from where Savor left off. Claire is on her way to meet her biological parents for the first time in her life. As if that wasn't a big enough deal, those parents? Oh yeah. They're vampires. Royal vampires. Not to me

Indulge is the second book in the Warm Delicacy series. What I love about this series is that each book takes off right after the other ends. I know this for sure because I’ve started the newest and third book in the series, Devour.

Claire is taken by Arrick to meet her real family. Her actual vampire mother and father. Yes, she is one of the rare humans who were born from vampire parents. Not only is this rare, she is also doubly rare, because she was than turned by vampires into a vampire herse

Claire was nearly killed and is on the run from a vengeful vampire. Together with her Blood Mate, Arrick, she’s trying to make her way to her rightful home. And because of this vengeful vampire and The Dark a war is looming on the horizon. Claire doesn’t want to sit back and watch. She wants to stand her ground and fight against whoever is trying to take her and kill the ones she loves in the process.

Indulge is the second book of the Warm Delicacy Series by Megan Duncan. This sequel is even bet

I just finished the second book of the Warm Delicacy series. While I did enjoy it, I didn't like it as much as the first one.
I felt like the descriptions were very rushed during some situations. For example, when we were told that Claire's (real) mother had given a piece of her humanity so that Claire was born human. It was kinda mentioned quickly, and I was like WTH... shouldn't that have been a bigger deal rather than just a couple-of-lines mention?
Also, there was some unnecessary plot devel

Look at that lovely cover!! It's absolutely enticing, is it not?? Anyway, this book is just splendid! I really love this series and I can't wait to read the third book...

Indulge brings us to the world of Naos. We'll be meeting Claire's real vampire parents and a lot of intriguing new characters. I have to say, Claire's real parents are very likable. From the first moment that they were introduced, you'll just see how loving and caring of parents they are. Claire made instant connection with them

"Indulge" is another good read from Megan Duncan. In this installment, Clare is nearly killed by her nemesis, Ana and Luka. With the assistance of her blood mate, Arrick she manages to escape and goes to the city of Naos where she meets her birth mother and father, Cathair and Ione (Cat hair.....really?)She discovers that very few vampires have the ability to conceive and carry a baby; yet, her mother managed to do so. Then she was kidnapped by King Noire so that he would have a daughter.

Indulge is the second book in the Warm Delicacy and just as engaging as the first, Savor. These books are a fresh and original take on the vampire genre, telling the story of Claire, a girl with a mysterious past. The story opens just after Savor ends, as Claire and Arrick make their escape from an attack that almost killed Claire. What I love most about this series is that, at the heart of it, the story is a coming of age story for Claire, with the paranormal aspect not overshadowing it. Instea ...more

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I read book 1 (Savor) and took part in the blog tour and really enjoyed it. I love Megan Duncan's writing style and her ability to capture your attention and weave you into a whole different world. So of course when she offered me the chance to read this one, I couldn't resist.
This book follows on straight from where book 1 ended and I was immediately pulled back into Claire's life. It has been a few months since I read Savor but th

Claire and Arrick are headed to Naos where Claire's birth parents live. She has finally learned the truth of her existence and is readjusting all over again to a new family. She is a rare born vampire with special abilities she has yet to discover. With the other royals upset at her running away and The Dark rising to power, Claire must prepare for war. Eli begins training her and she has a sparing partner Bennett that pushes her buttons. Bennett was really snarky and fun. I enjoyed his scenes a ...more

I enjoyed 'Savor', but i enjoyed 'Indulge' more. Claire has really come into her own in this sequel and it was just enjoyable to read. I think Claire could have had more of a learning curve into what it takes to be a vampire, but i do understand that it is her nature to approach things head on.
I love how the story isn't straight forward, it keeps taking all these twists and turns, for example, i would never have guessed that she was abducted by birth. I know this is introduced in 'Savor', but i

So why 3 stars? Well i liked the first book alot! The only problem i have with our main character is that she's too accepting. She made a new best friend in under 5 minutes of leaving her old one. She traded parents 3 times and automatically fell inlove with all 3 of them immediately. She's so eager to be loved its almost annoying. And the most annoying part about this book...."AFTERALL I AM THE ONLY ONE OF MY KIND" If she brags about how special she is one more time i may scream! I counted 7 ti ...more

I wanted to like this series but I knew when Savor didn't do much for me that this one wouldn't either. I didn't feel connected to the characters at all this time around even though I did a tiny bit in Savor.

Arrick, Claire's blood mate takes her home to meet her real parents and for her to learn why she was sent away to begin with. This had a Chicagoland Vampire feel to it but without the intensity to it. Claire does learn why she had to stay away from her home and her being back brings their w

Wow! I thought that Savor was such a good book that I got this one as soon as I finished it. I was not disappointed at all. This book was more of everything that the first one was. It was bumped up a notch from everything I experienced while reading Savor. I mean....I'm at a loss for words. This was a really good second installment to the Warm Delicacy series. Claire discovers more about herself in this book, including her true family and true love. I simply cannot wait for the next book. It pai ...more

"Indulge," by Megan Duncan was a book full of mystery and had very descriptive wording that allowed me to capture what was going on in the book. I would recommend "Indulge" to other readers just for imagination alone. I was able to savor every moment of book 1 and indulge myself with book 2 of the Warm Delicacy series. This is a series I would read again just to catch different details that I may have missed before.

Read this book -- you will not be disappointed :)

Wonderful sequel to Savor. I read in in a few hours just could not put it down. I loved Arrick and Claire's relationship development in the book because they are my favorite couple. I like Demetry and all but he feels more like the guy friend than a lover. I just can't wait for the next one. I truely hope there is no triangle with Bennett.

So much better than the first book! If you are somehow disappointed with book 1, hang in there. Indulge is so much better. Claire feels like a complete different person, much more kick-ass, if I may say so. It's a fun read!

2.5 stars. While I enjoyed reading Indulge, the second in the Warm Delicacy trilogy, there are a few things that I didn't care for. The protagonist is still immature and the book is riddled with typos like the first, and the fight scene at the end was rather long, plus Arrick isn't in this installment much. I love how Naos is described though. I picture it like the night pictures I see of Greece. A liitle language and one passionate kiss. I will read the third installment and maybe I will like i ...more

Ooohhhh such a Great story

This story just keeps getting better and better. Yes, there is a cliffhanger but it's not one that leaves you totally hanging. The author did a great job at grabbing your feelings and pulling you into this story. I have to go get the final one.

FINISHED THIS WITHIN HOURS AFTER THE FIRST BOOK. I totally loved it. Couldn't pry my eyes off my Galaxy S2 until I was done. Funny thing was...I didn't even know I was reading the last sentence on my phone until it wouldn't let me flip any more pages.

I think....I was mind-blown...and I didn't even realize it until I was down to the last punctuation mark.

This book was everything that I imagined. Fast pace, action pact, threads and threads of unanswered questions WAITING TO BE UNFOLDED.

Indulge picks up where Savor left off and the action is non-stop! There are a few spelling / grammar / syntax errors that need to be addressed, but they are not enough to cause a problem while reading. There are several twists in the plot that I didn't expect to happen, the suspense and mystery is written so well that I think I have an idea about who or what may be the problem, but then something occurs that makes me question whether I am on the right track or not! One
thing, for sure, is that Cl
