The first ever anthology of poetry and visual art on the theme of erotica, the book boasts of over 80 remarkable artworks and over 70 poems on love and passion from 101 well-known Filipinos, including National Artists Edith Tiempo and Francisco Arcellana for Literature, and Napoleon Abueva, Arturo Luz, Ang Kiukok and J. Elizalde Navarro for Art.
Some poems are just cute, but some are erotic as erotic can be. The text and artworks are printed in glossy paper in long hardback format. There's a great variety of sensual and sexual ideas and, er, positions. From new and veteran poets and artists. The book design is hardcore.
After all the english smutty reads (few are erotica really), this was the first Filipino erotica book that I ever had. I love the artistry of words used and the visuals depicted. Very enticing to the senses.
(Dah, dali ra lagi mahuman ug basa basta erotica haha)
More of 3.5 stars. It is what it is—a collection of erotic poems and artworks. All orientations are represented here, but the male heterosexual voice still dominates (the editors after all are BenCab, Pandy Aviado, and Krip Yuson). It's hard to come by books published by Anvil with outstanding quality these days.
