Chemical Engineering Design is one of the best-known and widely adopted texts available for students of chemical engineering. It deals with the application of chemical engineering principles to the design of chemical processes and equipment. Revised throughout, the fourth edition covers the latest aspects of process design, operations, safety, loss prevention and equipment selection, among others. Comprehensive and detailed, the book is supported by problems and selected solutions. In addition the book is widely used by professionals as a day-to-day reference.
Best selling chemical engineering text Revised to keep pace with the latest chemical industry changes; designed to see students through from undergraduate study to professional practice End of chapter exercises and solutions
Although the original text is now outdated, its pedagogical smoothness and integrity make up for its fall behind current developments in the field. A new approach marks this book's uniqueness in the literature on undergraduate course materials. Also, the inclusion of a further reading list at the end of each chapter facilitates the students' introduction to the literature. A very good book on chemical engineering design.
I feel indebted to make a review about this textbook as for what it provides me as a student. Because of this textbook, I did good in my process plant design project. How i wish I start referring to this textbook since first year 😭 Thank you so much to the writers!!
Completing the chemical engineering design project was like being slapped in the face with this thicc book. However I couldn’t have done it without you guys (Sinnot & Towler, 2005)!!!! Shout out to the heat exchanger design methodology.
Great book for learning basic design principles in chemical Engineering. Some of the cost data is old but may be converted to current values using present value method.
