In my opinion, there's nothing quite as heart-warming as the happy ending for a hero and heroine who overcome the odds. Sometimes love isn't easy, but then anything in life that is, well, it just isn't much fun, now is it?
Looking for challenges in my life has been part of that fun, too. I embraced my first challenge at the age of sixteen when I married my high school sweetheart. A whole lot of years later, I still fondly recall the first time I saw my own personal hero and knew, even at that tender age, that he was the one for me. With a history like that, what else could I write except Romances?
When I'm not working on my latest novel, I enjoy relaxing with a cross-stitch project or debating the pros and cons of a redecorating project. I'm also a big movie fan, especially romantic comedies. Oh, and we can't forget about the joys of gardening. If I'm not playing in the dirt or haven't escaped with my own personal hero to the movie theater, I can usually be found in the house, somewhere warm, curled up with a romance novel in my hands.
A few years ago, my family and I exchanged the sun and sand of my native Southern California for the clear blue skies and wide open spaces of the North Dakota prairie. Oh, did I mention the snow we got in the bargain, too? A whole lot of it?

Hmmm. Popsicles.

A steamy romance story, this should have been figured out by the racy picture on the front. I originally picked this up at the Goodwill after seeing a glimpse of the movie Sleeping with the Enemy on tv. Plus when I purused the inside I read something about clearances. At the time my husband was working at Raytheon and had clearances. SO I thought for $0.50 I would give it a try. It was a differnt story than the movie I had saw. But I (blushingly) enjoyed the book.
A young Doctor in South Carolina has a brother in the FBI that was accused of murdering a higher up in the govt (maybe a congress man). THe brother goes underground to save his life. Every 6 weeks or so he calls and then hangs up, this is the only contact he has with his sister Dee.
Chase Bracken, is an Agent that is referred to as bend the rules bracken to obtain information for any case. He moves to south carolina as the new high school football coach, who lives directly above her.
He starts gathering information, but in the mean while falls in love with her.
The love scenes were very descriptive. The author leaves some loose ends untied at the end and now I feel I need to read another one to see what happens to the brother.
