Okay, so it’s fun to read a woo woo book once in awhile! After losing a partner though, this book actually helped. There were so many unexplainable things happening after my partner passed, I couldn’t possibly logically explain any of it. Honestly, I wish I would have read this before as I could have been much more in tune with what was happening. No idea how to rate this, about half way through it was over the top, but it did personally help me!

I've been a fan of Lisa's for years and I bought this book not because it told me anything new, but because I love Lisa's style of writing. The sincerity and love just come pouring out of its pages, giving support to all who read it and an understanding that the spiritual world is actually the dominant existence.

While you'll receive no spoilers from me, I have to say that Lisa's book helps you see that the world of Spirit isn't that far away at all, In fact, it's always with us. Like many other readers, there's only so much spiritualism I can take and most tomes regarding this subject are just out to make a quick buck. That being said, I'll read anything by Edgar Cayce... and of course, Lisa Williams.

if there's one thing to take away from this book is that what's waiting will always be there. This makes it even more important to do everything you can while you're in the physical to make your life worthwhile. The soul isn't inside us, we are actually inside the soul's energy.

On the other side, you can have almost anything just by asking for it, but here on this side, you really have to try to make things work. It's this effort that determines if your soul progresses in this life, or if you have to wait to make it better in the next.

An eye-opening and amazing read. I read and enjoyed Lisa's previous book 'Living among the dead' , as well as enjoying her television series, she is a warm and engaging person. The book is written clearly for all to understand and enjoy, this book is an enlightening look at what happens to us all after death, all the questions you might have are answered in here - step by step from leaving the body and the processes our soul takes and what the spirit guides and Elders do to help us recover from the shock of death. WOW.

This was a great read for anyone who has lost someone close to them or who is interested in the spirit realm. It was an intriguing read and I'm excited to read more books on the subject to cross-reference.

I enjoyed reading Ms. Williams account of soul progression. I've stepped away from spritual texts for several years so I found this book to be a refreshing and uplifting read. As a reminder of my own mortality, I was reassured that my soul will be welcomed home when the time is right.

Okay so I don't even know if this should be on my fiction or non-fiction shelf? Ultimately as Ms Williams and I believe that the soul is separate from our body it goes on my non-fiction shelf.

I think that most people who will read this book will already be familiar with her work as a medium and clairvoyant, so I did find the constant forays in to her own readings and experiences tiresome, (although I understand the inclusion of them). So the book details Ms Williams take on the Afterlife and the journey of our souls. To read this book with any authenticity at all you must believe that we have spirit guides and that we can communicate with them. There is a substantial amount of channelled information to Ms Williams through her guides that she has put in to this book (this makes me nervous and skeptical, and it should). I mean it is the burning question isn't it - what happens when we die? Is our life predestined? How do I know you yet have never met you before?

I do believe we have a soul, I do believe there are a certain amount of 'events' lined up for us, I do believe in reincarnation. I have had a plethora of personal experiences to make me believe these things. The good thing about this book is that it really is nothing new, I have heard and sensed almost all of the things that Ms Williams details, so in a way that gives me comfort to know that what is written is not so left field (to me anyway) to seem like it is crackers, or worse still, that a medium who deals with a lot of vulnerable people, is crackers.

If you have the slightest interest and curiousity about the soul, even more so than the afterlife, you will probably find this book interesting.

I liked this and though I tend to get skeptical over books by: Sylvia Brown (who has written so many on topics such as this and a plethera of other things), actually this book and "The Afterlives of the Rich and Famous" by: Ms. Brown had some similarities, so maybe I need to cut Ms. Brown some slack...I enjoyed this read...I watch Lisa Williams' show from time to time and I'm always captivated by her enthusiasm as a peraon, She's always so upbeat, bubbly and friendly, and she's also blessed with an incredible gift...It gave me some comfort reading this books not just for loved ones that I have lost in the past, but, also my own life and what lies beyond this mortal existence...This is me first book I've read by: Ms. Williams...I did not read the first one..I will definately read it now...I would recommend this if you are a believer in psychic phenonmena, mediumship, spirituality, and clairvoyance...If those aren't things that you follow than you probably wouldn't be interested in this book, But, for me it was cool;)

I have seen Lisa Williams show when it airs on tv here and I enjoy the readings she does for people. She seems to radiate warmth and enjoy being able to provide comfort for her clients, and looks like she'd be cheeky in her off hours and enjoy a tipple and a big laugh.

I think though I am just about reaching maximum saturation with the medium/psychic books. I know that all the celebs choose to live on the coast in Hawaii or somewhere sunny. That when I die Mum, the grandparents and cats will rush out to greet me, then I'll get to see a youtube version of my life before I get to visit lots of rooms and sort my soul out. Then I'll get to pick my own pad, and chill out til the rest of the gang gets there. Sounds good to me.

So Lisas book, it was interesting, but nothing too new or surprising after all the similar books I have read this year. I did like her explanation of people who die suddenly, in an accident when the soul just 'pops' out of the body, leaving the person to feel no pain on passing. I like that idea, it settles my mind. Worthy of a 3/5.

After reading Life Among the Dead by Lisa Williams almost 3 years ago now, and enjoying it, I was keen to read her follow up book The Survival of the Soul.

Lisa Williams is a medium/clairvoyant, and I've been to see her at an event in Melbourne and was touched by the events that took place there.

Williams writes about what happens after we die, and whether it's true or not, I guess we'll only find out when it's our turn. Strangely, the information contained in The Survival of the Soul is similar to the views held by renowned psychic and spiritual medium Sylvia Browne in her books The Other Side and Back and Life on the Other Side.

Both women claim their information is provided to them by their spirit guides, so if you are a believer, then it should be no surprise that their information is the same.

Atheists, and those with their own religious beliefs are advised to give this book a miss, but I really enjoyed it.

I have seen Lisa Williams twice in a large audience and she is absolutely amazing. I have had her books on my "to read" list for awhile and finally had a chance to pick it up. This book was very interesting and provided many answers to what happens to our souls in a lifetime. There were some parts I am still a bit unsure if I believe, but overall, the heart of the book remains the same...heaven is a beautiful place where you are greeted by loved ones. There were some parts of the book that were harder to read than others, for example, the pieces about miscarriages and stillbirths, as well as suicides and the souls of evil people. My favorite parts of the book were the stories she shared of those who she has read and had an impact on. It is a bit of a deep read and I had to reread some components of it. I'm looking forward to discussing at our book club.

I was raised in the Catholic religion, so I've always had faith in a Higher Power, however, I've always felt in my heart and soul that the Afterlife (or whatever you want to call it) was much bigger than Heaven, Hell and whatever is in-between. I also firmly believe that there are people in the world that have the ability, or Gift, to communicate with those of us who have already passed on. With all that said, Lisa's book acknowledged these lifelong beliefs that "there has got to be something after life on Earth" and "there has to be a reason why we are who we are".

No matter what your religious beliefs or non-beliefs are, this book is fascinating. And, Lisa's writing is easy-to-read and easy to comprehend. Highly recommend for all.

Lisa Williams writes about a fascinating subject: what happens to our souls when we die? Does life end when we die? Lisa explains everything with the help of her spirit guides, and if you choose to believe, it's an incredibly uplifting book about what it means to live and love while we're in our physical form on earth. It also provides a great deal of comfort to those who have lost loved ones and wonder if they are happy and at peace.

This is a great book for fans of Sylvia Browne, or anyone who is curious about the human soul, what drives us, and how we are all put on earth to learn lessons and advance our souls in their knowledge of God and the other side.

I can't finish this book. It's not very often that I get bored with a book and actually stop reading it but I can not physically finish this book. I loved her first book that she wrote and thoroughly enjoyed it because it was about being a medium and her life. This is about the afterlife and it just doesn't interest me. I want stories about ghosts, not about my 'soul' and the connection between the afterlife.

One of my favorite books, ever!!! Lisa Williams says that her Spirit Guides helped her to write this book, which is the reason it is so fascinating. So many questions about life, death, & what happens to our souls begin to be answered, but then so many new questions come up. I hope that this book is the first of an encyclopedia of knowledge about our souls.

- A medium's view as to what happens when you die
- Provides an interesting, albeit not new, perspective on why we're here, which is to learn and to teach
- Not for everyone
