Return of the Legacy by KH LeMoyne is a romantic suspense of the first order. I enjoyed the story because it’s different—a time travel that’s not really a time travel. It’s more of dimension travel. If there is such a thing. Anyway, in Return of the Legacy, the travelers go through a magic portal to another place that has elements of our medieval times on Earth. Or would have if it weren’t for their use of magic to simulate our modern conveniences. Why worry about a washer and dryer for your clo ...more

Return of the Legacy is book 1 in KH LeMoyne’s The Portal’s of Destiny series. Many times, when a new world is introduced, a book can be difficult to get into and understand. Sometimes it takes awhile to get the feel of the characters, the story, and the setting. Return of the Legacy was not one of these books, within the first 10% of the book, I was captivated. Right from the start, the plot was engaging, the characters appealing, and there was a compulsion to keep reading.

Return of the Legacy by KH LeMoyne is a well written romantic fantasy. I’ve been a fantasy reader all of my life and was thrilled to find yet another author that has a firm command of the elements necessary for a good fantasy novel. The character development is well done. The reader meets the main characters, Briallen and Logan, right away in an exciting fashion but it is clear from the start these two are destined to be together. Each has magical powers (love that!) which complement the other. ...more

RETURN OF THE LEGACY is what character-driven fiction is about. I'm not sure whether or not to classify it as fantasy or romance, but it doesn't matter. Bri and Logan sizzle on the page, and Lemoyne paints a vividly magical universe, while touching on themes of gender class and inequality that will resonate with modern readers. I highly recommend this book!

It takes a good author to sway the opinion of this reader. You see, I’ve never been a big lover of mages, sorcerers and magic powers. I’m more into your down to earth kind of story. So, I was extremely surprised to find myself riveted for the full length of KH LeMoyne’s Return of the Legacy. This is one finely crafted story. It dispelled all my prejudices that I wouldn’t become immersed in the story. Yep, I gave up sleep to read Return of the Legacy from cover to cover. I found no stereotype “ma ...more

This book is not what I expected. You know how you read a synopsis and get a “feel” for what a book will be about? Well I got one for this book, and then things didn’t go that way at all. I suppose the biggest reason I was wrong is that I didn’t realize that this was only the beginning of a new series. So I assumed that everything would get wrapped up in one book, and obviously it didn’t. So, if this helps you for when you start to read, so much the b

I don't write that many reviews, but I had to write this one for a fantastic book that transcends dimensions and time. This book introduces the reader to new worlds that will amaze you, a villain you will hate, and two lovers you will champion to the end. I have to give KH LeMoyne a pat on the back for writing a book with a great suspenseful plot, plenty of twists and writing that wouldn't let me put the book down until I finished it.

The author's writing was really good, the characters were interesting, and the plot and storyline were easy to follow. All of these things should've made for a really good read, but my problem was with the pacing of the story. The first chapter captured my attention and seemed promising but then the story slowed down to the point that it was hard to stay interested. It began to feel like it was more about setting the scene than what was actually going on. A little less filler would've made this ...more

What can I say about KH LeMoyne's Return of the Legacy (Portals of Destiny)? She blew me away with the plot, depth of characters, and world building. Each character in the story had a unique voice, and within minutes of meeting them, I could tell who was speaking.

To save her brothers, the heroine, Bri, used magic. Unfortunately, she had never been trained in the art and it was her mother's book—her mother was a very powerful magic user. Bri manages to save her three brothers and herself, but the

Briallen is unsure of her abilities, but will try to help anyway. Logan and his brother, Robert, are from a dimension where they had to hide their abilities, but are good at what they do. They all have a common enemy to fight that wants to destroy their families. KH Lemoyne has come up with a world that not only has elves and magic, but also has interdimensional travel between worlds. Lemoyne's writing is clear and easy to understand and read. The story is well laid out, although the pace is slo ...more

I received a free copy of this book from ebook discovery in exchange for an honest review.

This well written dimension travel story switches between ours - where the main male characters come from -our heroines birthplace and Loci where they both ended up.
Most of the story is situated in Loci where things are almost but not quite the same as they were here a couple of centuries ago but magic is widely accepted. Experiencing the cultural differences through the eyes of the two cousins and watchi

KH LeMoyne gives us a new fantasy take on Elves, Magic and interdimensional travel between worlds !! Loci is a parallel universe to our Earth, yet magic abounds and isn't hidden. It's coveted and mire than one evil Mage is out to take what isn't theirs !! A little slow to start with, but the action, magic and relationships more than make up for it !! 4⭐'s Anyone who liked the Lord of the Rings Elves will like this story .
