This book did a great job of freaking me out about the prospect of law school. A lot of time is spent telling you how difficult the program is, how you have to love boring, mindless details, etc.
The more I've read books like these about thinking, prepping for, and making decisions about law school, the more I noticed how common this writing approach is. I'm convinced that these books are designed to weed out potential students who are only passively interested or might not be quite up to the task of law school. Either that, or these former-law-students-turned-writers are all just a bunch of big meanies.
