Evangelist Greg Laurie calls all Christians back to radical New Testament living in his latest offering, Let God Change Your Life. Imagine what it would have been like to be a follower of Jesus; first-century Christians walked away from their old lives just to be where He was. What they learned, sitting at His feet, was discipleship. And when His work on earth was done, first-century Christians took His words and example and spread out, teaching the gospel to everyone. The good news is that we, too, can participate in this lifestyle. Laurie drills it down in three simple get to know Jesus, follow His plan for discipleship, and use it to tell others what we know. Laurie’s tone is clear, direct, and biblical.
Greg Laurie is an American author and pastor who serves as the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, Harvest Corona in Corona, California Harvest Woodcrest in Riverside, California, Harvest at Kumulani in Kapalua, Hawaii, and Harvest Orange County in Irvine, California.
Let God Change Your Life Greg Laurie Published by David Cook Source: Review B & B Media
Discipleship 101, written neatly and concisely into an easy to read and understand novel. Written from a Christian who has been in the world, and realized the vacuum sized hole in his heart for God, Greg Laurie uses the Word of God and breaks it down into step by step instructions for the new believer.
The book walks the reader through the need for a relationship with Christ as the sole way to God. Explains how easily you can accept Christ into your life, and how to get ready for the changes that will follow. Often new Christians are left in a lurch without a guideline of where to go from here. Greg Laurie’s book would be an awesome discipleship tool for an older Christian to use to encourage a new believer. It would not only teach the new Christian, it would reignite the torch in the older Christian as well.
Fantastic examples, clear writing, and true to life skills are found in Let God Change your Life. I highly recommend that Christians have a copy of this book to give out to new believers or seekers!

I received a copy of this book from B & B media in exchange for an honest review
(I’m not gonna rate this book because it feels wrong) However, I did thoroughly enjoy it. It took me awhile to read but it honestly shouldn’t have. It’s so eye opening and clear cut. It makes you want to be a better follower of Christ and look further into discipleship. I would very much recommend.
Look it's a good book but nothing ground breaking. It was helpful by setting my eyes on Christ. A conviction that arose from this book was that I need to worship Him rather than soley 'work' for Him. Greg lays down the life of a Christian in an ordered and encouraging manner. His emphasis on disciples discipling others was great. His constant focus on Jesus and the cross brought my heart to greater love of our Lord and God. Praise Him all you people!
Greg lays out the Christian life in a very organized and consecutive way. It is written for a young believer, but someone who has walked with Christ for a long time can be challenged through his writing. I do recommend this book.
An important book that focuses on understandings the significance and benefits of a relationship with God. Messages that lead readers to the Bible are most helpful in encouraging readers in God’s Word.
Social media. Internet. Smartphones 24/7 Our lives are constant. At any given time and place, we can keep in touch with whomever, whenever, however, but between working from or out of the home, homeschooling, being a new mom, or a veteran mom, and not even then, volunteering, or maybe you are going to college, life is busy.
With "Let God Change Your Life", Greg Laurie writes in a style that is everyday, mainstream, and laidback while taking us back and as the publisher shares,
"What we often perceive as the Christian life is, in many ways, not what the Bible teaches. Imagine what it would have been like to be a follower of Jesus; first-century Christians walked away from their old lives just to be where He was. What they learned, sitting at His feet, was discipleship. And when His work on earth was done, first-century Christians took His words and example and spread out, teaching the gospel to everyone."
Greg Laurie, challenges the reader in a strong, direct and very biblical based writing that breaks things down to three simple concept:
1.Get to know Jesus,
2.follow His plan for discipleship, and
3.use it to tell others what we know.
So if you find yourself feeling overwhelm....searching to grow strong and mature as a Christian and how its about developing a relationship, not a religion as a Christian.

Radical Christian Living is Really Normal Christian Living (from the back cover)
What we often believe is normal Christian living is very different, in many ways, from what the Bible teaches. Laurie says that if you find the Christian experience dull and unfulfilling then maybe it’s time for you to examine Jesus’ teaching regarding discipleship.
Evangelist Greg Laurie calls all Christians back to radical. The blueprint is simply: Get to know Jesus, follow His plans for discipleship, and share God’s truth with others.
Three key points are expanded on:
1. How to know God—and how He will change your life 2. Discipleship—the commitment, the cost, and the spiritual growth 3. Making Him known—sharing the gospel and making disciples
Sharing personal stories from his own life (his salvation story brought tears to my eyes) and others, Laurie writes in an engaging and compelling way while he teaches us what it means to truly live the Christian life the way God intended.
If your Christian life seems flat and boring, then reenergize it. Pick up a copy of Greg Laurie’s book, LET GOD CHANGE YOUR LIFE today. $14.99. 285 pages.
Greg Laurie's candid open writing style makes this book an instant winner with any audience. Whether you are a new christian or have been a christian for a while this book will give you a new look at the christian life and what it means when God changes your life.
This book encourages a radical change in your life and your thinking - challenging that what is labeled as "radical Christianity" is what is really normal when Christ does change your life.
Using his own life and experiences Laurie does an excellent job of showing the grace and changing power of Christ no matter what your circumstances. While telling his story Laurie is careful to bring in lots of scripture to show how God works in a person's life.
The book is broken into three main sections: How to Know God, Discipleship, and Making Him Known. These are the three key areas most pastors try to cover with individual. But sadly enough these are also the three areas that many Christians in todays churches are lacking in (or at least in the last two areas).
Well, what do you know? I actually read this book 8 years ago! I discovered it on my Kindle recently, and after having seen Jesus Revolution, I now recognized Greg Laurie's name in a new context. I don't recall reading it the first time, but that's not unusual for me.
So, I've upped my impression to 5 stars for this reason: no matter what your walk with Jesus is, brand new, agnostic, or long believer, this is so helpful to remember the basics and renew your soul to actually follow what Jesus says, especially in the Great Commission. Laurie gives very practical advice on how to engage in conversation, what to say, how to say it, and almost as importantly, what NOT to say and how NOT to say it!
I feel renewed and have a more focused heart-goal to share my faith. Thanks, God and Greg Laurie!
I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It was about how to be a good disciple now, using Bible verses. It really goes into detail about becoming a disciple of Christ Jesus. It made my views on the subject pale in comparison. It made me think about how much I had to learn about the subject. I really need to consider my priorities are.
