The former lover of Princess Diana reveals details of their relationship and describes his legal battle to retain ownership of the personal letters sent to him by the Princess during his tour of duty in the Gulf War
It was interesting to read a man's account of his life experiences in being a support to Princess Di and then dealing with media and robbery. He really went through it. He is not a skillful writer, but that is not the intention of the book. The intention of the book is to share his side. He just tells us what happened, in airs of completely honesty and with vibes that he doesn't want to hide anything but wants the truth to be known.
This guy writes likes a normal, average person, but his experience was hard and interesting. Definitely prompted some thoughts.
If you're looking for well-written literature, this isn't it. But if you're looking for an honest story, this is your book!
When this book came out I had no interest in reading it nor the time to do so, all I knew about the author was what was circulating in the press; that he was basically a cad. Well, I LIKE this guy A LOT, and I enjoyed this book immensely. He comes across as far more decent than the opposite, and as an honest and genuine person, with more than an adequate moral compass. I am glad he took the time to set the record straight and give his side of the story, and I wish him all the best.
I’m reading this book translating in Burmese author Win Nyein. I’m not sure when i would finish reading. Sometimes it has romentic parts which I feel good to read more.

I thought the book would be more about Lady Diana but it was more about the life challenges and termoil that James experience. I'm glad I read it, but it was more about him than Lady Di.
