First book I've read right through in probably close to 8 years - I'm a new fan to motorsports and formula 1, only getting involved in 2023, and this was a great book to read as a new fan.

It was well written - easy to read but not child's play. It was obviously written with a lot of knowledge without sounding like a textbook, a lot of personality shines through. When I wasn't learning something new about racing, and especially racing in the early 2000s, I was usually laughing or sometimes crying over something.

It really was a fascinating and incredibly fun book to read.

i love learning information that i'll never need about people i'll never meet. also it was kind of funny because... well... not to make it an age thing, but what exactly had 22 years old Jenson Button to say really? either way it was quite interesting, i love autobiographies because famous people namedrop other famous people which is always fun.

Written before he became an established F1 star, this is an in depth look at how he got to be a professional driver as well as an honest analysis of his first year. The way he writes about his troubled second year also shows his great maturity and determination. Where others may have made excuses or blamed the team, Jenson focuses on the opportunity to build on his experience. Told in his familiar relaxed way it gives a good glimpse of his natural character that is still so recognisable today, a world champion later.
