Truly a fabulous book which developed for me a new sense of being a Christian. This is the second book I have read by this author, and both were life-changing.

McIntosh offers a number of helpful insights into Western Christianity's centuries old divorce between It's theology and spirituality. He suggests how wrestling with the ideas and practices of the Patristic era and Eastern Orthodox can help us recover our spiritual perception and participation without falling into new age syncretism. I found Mystical Theology both moving and appropriately careful in its respect for the boundaries of orthodox Christianity.
