Michel Plessix (1959 - 2017) was a French comic book artist, best known for the series Julien Boisvert, his adaptation of The Wind in the Willows ('Le vent dans les Saules') and its follow-up, 'Le vent dans les Sables'.

This fourth volume is a funny and fitting conclusion to the graphic novel adaptation of the classic tale.

Ç'aurait été mieux sans la dernière phrase... mais bon, la BD a 20 ans et l'histoire encore plus.

Un tome final fort en action. Crapaud une fois rentré près de ses amis, organise la reprise de son manoir dérobé par une bande de belettes, furets et hermines sans scrupules lors de son séjour au frais.
Les cases à vive allure dans ce tome et le texte se fait plus rare. La bataille fait rage entre les différents animaux. La fin donne le ton avec des références à d'autres BD connues (le banquet de fin notamment) et le lien se fait avec la suite des aventures qui s'intitule "Le vent dans les sables".
Drôle, frais et badin, le ton de ce tome final est tout à fait rafraîchissant. Les graphismes sont toujours aussi détaillés notamment pour les intérieurs du Manoir.
Une belle série d'aventures et d'amitié qui donne envie de suivre la petite bande au bout du monde, avec la nouvelle lubie de Crapaud cela pourrait bien se passer dans les airs...

The series is cute, heartwarming, and made me laugh out loud a few times with its tongue-in-cheekness. It's only a shame that the drawings (which are beautiful otherwise) are so small, I had to squint to see important details at times

Pas une grande fan du crapaud donc un peu déçue qu'à partir du tome 2 tout tourne autour de lui.
Mais les dessins sont sublimes.
