I love my houseplants to death, literally. This book helped me curb my planticidial tendencies.

I have been adding house plants to my collection for about 4 years now. Some I have found can be quite tricky and some are easy and low maintenance but unfortunately I found that out by trial and error. Over the years I’ve spent a decent amount of money on plants only to have them die in a couple months, basically wasting my money. With that said- I would highly recommend this book! It is a great houseplant book if you are looking for tips and tools to use to keep your houseplants alive and thriving! The Author does a great job making this book easy to follow and has great detailed pictures. The pictures are good visual aids to help determine the health and success of your plant vs what it may look like if it needs a little extra loving. From beginner to experienced gardener this book will benefit you and has advice you can trust. Each section I found tips that I haven’t heard of before (I would consider myself semi- experienced) and had a high germination rate with them. My favorite section of the book was tips on how to make your houseplant trees flourish (by pinching the steam right before the leaf- I did this for 2 weeks and my tree started growing and blooming better than ever!) I would also recommend this to anyone interested in outdoor gardening as some of the recommendations would work with indoor/outdoor plants. If you are geared more towards outdoor I would look in the tropical/high light plants section this book has (they’re organized by climate/indoor/outdoor/easy/hard/size). Whether you are serious about getting the most out of your plants, excelling their lifespan, or just starting out then look no further, this is the book for you!
