Bruce Johnson has over 30 years of experience teaching children and teens from preschool through high school, as well as to college students and parents. He holds a Master's Degree in Reading Education, and is currently a Reading Specialist with the Merrimack Valley School District in New Hampshire. His popular Guides for Parents series, including Helping Your Child Become Successful in School, have been well received. He is also the author of numerous children's books that seek to increase parent involvement in their children's reading.

Great book for an early reader. Easy words and many pets to choose from. Which one will the girl pick? Fun story and if you are deciding on a pet of your own, this may be a book to discuss the positives and negatives of many different animals.

My kindergartner read this to me tonight. He still struggle with big W words (like which) but everything else went smoothly.
