I found this book slightly offensive to Arabs. Not that I disagree with all that's written, but not all of us are as shallow as described in some of the chapters.
Otherwise, this book is deep, meaningful and inspiring.
I could seriously quote this book all day!!!
Overall: 3.5/5

firstly the title of the book has a great impact on buying it immediately because I was so curious about this naming and after reading the very first pages i knew why the author chose such a title in which I admit is a good choice.

I gave it 4 stars because I am a big fan of such genre of books as it always try to give us a push in this roller coaster-ish life. It contains quotes and sayings by the author and others taken from authors working in the same field.

Worth a try readers...

Frankly, this was my first completion of an Arabic book, I raise my hat you sir. The book was artistically written, it has helped me in understanding and dealing with life a bit better.

My favorite part was the gifts one. I gave the person I love, for the mean time, my father a gift. Regardless of how small my gift was, compared to the ones he received if not on daily maybe weekly basis; he liked mine the most out of all the more expensive gifts he has gotten.
it really has enhanced our

I have a problem with the whole modern self-help movement aslan, men naw3yat kotob zay "Shab Koshk" w kda, bs this one is even more annoying, I cant believe how I disagreed with EVERY single line. EVERY SINGLE LINE. The author is quite good even though he's trying waaaay too hard. Oh well, I wasnt expecting much anyway.

A collection of his articles. My first book of this kind to read. Liked some and others were okay, two stars are quite enough to rate this book.

Didn't really add much value, just few agreeing nods. Might finish it out of boredom.

how the author portrays arabs is kind of offensive tbh.
on the bright side, i liked how he links an idea with his own personal experience.
i was debating whether i give this book 2 or 3 stars.
so, i'll give it a 2.5/5

Another reason why am not keen on reading best-sellers.
And the fact that this book reached it's 30 print, is just ridiculous!

It's an OKAY book. Even though the author is talking about society pressure and how the Arabic culture is flawed by others stereotyping others, I can't but stop and laugh at the irony that this book, resembles everything negative he tried to speak out to the people about.

But to be fair, Yasser Harb did have a solid opinion about various issues which I myself suffer from

I'm going to write this in English as I'm better in it than Arabic.

First of all, the reason why I picked up this book in the first place was for pure Arabic enhancement that I need. My friend suggested me this book because it was an "easy read".

I must say, out of all the Arabic books I tried reading, this was the only one that kept me interested in reading more. I finished it faster than I expected.

I agree with most of his statements and like how he delivered his views in different aspects of

This is the kind of book that everyone MUST read!!

Such a good book but i gotta admit not everyone understand it because it's highly educated and requires the readers full attention.

Each part of it sends a message and has a very valuable advice.

I've learnt alot from it and it changed my way of thinking and increased my positive perspective!!

This kind of a book should not be read in a day or less because it has an amazing content that needs you to understand it perfectly to apply it in your

It is rare to read a writer's own view about the world as he sees it and still be inspired. Through my reading I thought this man must have lived and gained his experience through his life and delivered to us the essence of his experience, but it was a shock to know that his just as young as many of us. But still, his age did not stop him from putting into words what most of us feel and think. Whether the writer wrote about his own (relatively short) experience, or he poured other experiences in ...more

I have literally enjoyed every single word in this book. His thoughts and ideas forced me to stop and contemplating my life, observing our routine and think again are we doing it in the correct way. It took me only 2 days to finish this amazing piece of art.

Its one of an amazing book I had read it ever, the content about the how should you think, and what you should teach your brain and your self to behave in good way.... it has some religion issues and the writer know really how to connect between our Islam with our behavior.

Loved it!
It is small, divided into different aspects that represent the author's philosophy about Starbuck's success and Picasso's uniqueness, and different life aspects as well. I would read it twice!
