Its not bad, its pretty good
I'd recommend this for a casual reader of WW2, could even be one of the first things you read, you don't need any background to absorb this. Generally you would find it quite illuminating.
There are very few historical errors, but there are some tiny ones and some are simply new things we understand about WW2 since its printing. For example, the extensive use of crystal meth by tank drivers was not known when this was printed. Some errors and omissions are not and are just the result of laziness, to me it seems the author had not read the multi volume set about the war from German historians which had been in print for years when this was published.

Its probably not a good source for researchers or historians, but for casual readers, its a good pick.
