GREAT book for anyone interested in getting a dog or anyone who already has one. Covers everything from individual dog breeds, grooming, what to look for when adopting a dog to buying one from a breeder. Also includes first aid/CPR, emergencies, toxic plants and animals, dog training and behavior, dog bites and their causes, some legal issues surrounding dogs, and careers involving dogs. Like the cover says, it has everything you need to know about dogs. A handy reference book to have around. Easy to navigate and simple language everyone can understand.

This is definitely a must read for all those that are considering getting a dog or for those that have a dog already. The Dog Bible is so comprehensive and while I cannot say 100% accurate because I don't know all things dog, for the most part it has been extremely accurate. This is a must own for all dog owners!

This book has a lot of great information relating to costs, caring for and the responsibility of being a dog owner. It is a large volume with many different sections that are easy to navigate through. I only had one complaint that maybe unfounded, but I had hoped that the section on breeds would be more extensive, giving more info about each dog and its breed.

So it is no secret that I really want a dog right now. Since I know Ihave to wait at least a year before that can happen this is a great book to see what you can do to find a dog that is right for you, how to find that dog, prepare your home and then how to train it. It really is a great resource.
