This book flies high!


I FEEL THE NEED FOR SPEED!

I've been always a fan of aircraft technology and this reference book is a dream come true, since it covers all the best airplanes developed (to the date of publishing of course) around the world, not only military but also commercial ones.

The intimidanting F-14 Tomcat, the dangerous AH-64 Apache, the elegant Concorde, in here you have them all and more!

On each page, you have the technical details of a different aircraft along with color pictures and gorgeous and really cool schematics showing their designs.

There is not doubt that this comprehensive book will take to new altitudes in your personal knowledge and awareness about the powerful world of aircrafts.

A must-have book to any fan of airplanes!

This is the first edition of the Jane's Aircraft Recognition Guide. Unfortunately, planes are not separated into types or shapes but listed in alphabetical order of manufacturers and this make it difficult to identify a particular aircraft. This is not a recognition guide as per its title but a catalogue of most of the planes actually flying (civil and military). The pictures are in B&W and there are only a few technical data, nothing much about engines, power, and performances. This is disappointing.

This was a fun little book to have to memorize for my aircraft characteristics class. I isn't a complete guide since it is missing aircraft but it definitely has more then enough to keep everyone happy.

What sould be a Recognition Guide, and it's from "Jane's"(considerate the best in the world) does not have the Convair 880 and the Convair 990 Coronado!!!! 4 Stars only!!!

I read the third edition, and I wouldn't categorise it as a guide book but a lovely catalogue.
