HIDDEN POWER FOR HUMAN PROBLEMS: The 7 "Parent" Thoughts Behind All Human Thoughts and How to Overcome Them

Rate this book
From the author of “Your Mind Can Heal You”
The power of the mind has long been known to have both positive and negative affects on the physical body—a cornerstone principle of the New Thought philosophy. Prominent New Thought leader and teacher, Dr. Frederick Bailes identified several years ago, seven “Parent” thoughts that lie at the source of many physical ailments that challenge individuals. Problems such as anger, weight, stress, alcoholism, hypersensitivity, depression, fear of failure, anxiety, self-confidence, self-criticism, confusion are a few examples of what can happen if these parent thoughts are not recognized and treated. Hidden Power for Human Problems not only provides the tools to isolate the parent thought at the root of each symptom, it also offers a specific and definitive technique to eliminate the parent thought and problem… for good. This is metaphysical healing in high gear!

I found this book practical, sensible and helpful. Frederick Bailes, a New Thought teacher describes the several "parent" thoughts we carry about buried away. Not referring to one's parents, rather it's a thought or behavior that is stuck in our subconscious and it may act out in a negative way. Bailes's offers a "master" thought in return. For example, the parent thought of hostility may be balanced by a sense of connection, wholeness and oneness with the world.
I've read many of Bailes's books, and I can attest that they are just as applicable now as they were decades ago. A great read!
