This is another Broadway Songbook that I have in my collection that Zia and I listened to one a day in four different versions. This is a book I've had since the beginning of undergraduate school (1996), and it has a lot of old standard/golden age of musical songs. None of the songs were new to me or particularly a revelation, but...Zia hasn't heard them, and I need to get over the fact that I hate re-hearing things over and over because she's a child and she will do that: Elmo has already become white noise in our house. However, I will say that I enjoyed hearing and listening to the many versions of "Make Believe" from SHOWBOAT, and we discovered some Rodgers and Hammerstein Pop Music Adaptations of some songs, "Younger Than Springtime," was a stand out.

Has a lot of the greatest Broadway songs, IMHO. I buy nonfiction, including sheet-music books, for a library system and I bought additional copies of this title because it's so popular copies need replacement. Has piano (treble and bass) accompaniment plus melody and guitar chords/tablature so it's useful for just about any musician.

My favorites, and ones I'd borrow this from the library again to use for singing and maybe auditions:
All I Ask of You, Bewitched, Comedy Tonight, Hello Young Lovers, The Lady Is a Tramp, Some Enchanted Evening, Try to Remember, Where or When, Younger Than Springtime
