Freedom from Fear Forever: The Acu-Power Way to Overcoming Your Fear, Phobias and Inner Problems

Rate this book
Many people know more about the moon which is 250,000 miles from earth then they do about themselves. This lack of knowledge is the result of the fact that most people seem to try to find out about themselves by looking around rather than at and within themselves. In this book you will be able to look into your own body, your body's nervous system, where all things that have happened to you from the time of conception are recorded. Through the use of procedures that you will learn, you will be able to literally ask if the body has any phobias, fears, anxieties, unresolved issues or evidence of post traumatic stress syndrome.

Best summary-retrospective on energy medicine I’m aware of.

Review of Freedom from Fear Forever
Without meaning to Dr. Durlacher summarizes many earlier--and later--energy medicine books. It's the best summary of "what works" in early 2000s energy medicine I have seen. It's more accessible than Fred Gallo's impressive technical presentation, Energy Diagnostic and Treatment Methods (Norton Professional Books).

Dr. Durlacher is so comprehensive on this topic, his book serves as the best summary-retrospective on “phase one” energy medicine I’m aware of.
What's changed in the field in 14 years? Two observations:

One is virtually every innovator since 1990 has evolved arm-pull-down towards self-muscle testing and towards incorporating the high self psychic self-protection more explicitly into sessions. Theta Healing and PTS MSS-DSS programs are two of several successful modes who evolved in these two directions.

This brings us to observation two: Articulating the WHY and HOW of effective energy medicine treatments, self-administered or professional, remain very daunting to write about and communicate to the public. Few analogous situations exist and they (Gurdjief, Rudolf Steiner) are even more obscure than meridian tapping and arm-pull-down.

This split between those doing it and those wondering what's going on is fundamentally a language problem: energy medicine achieves results that are difficult-to-impossible to articulate with only 20th mainstream century ideas.

Expanding the language of ideas that bridge the gap between where the public is (1999) and how easy it is to move energy now, is the only solutions I’m aware of. 'Quick release modalities' all evolved suddenly in the 1990s, outside corporate-consumer culture, when NLP, muscle testing and spirituality all intersected and converged, among small groups of healers and counselors. So for most people, they are very much "under the radar."
I'm aware of two big ideas that support people with 1999 thinking to feel safe and curious about the Grace available thru 'quick release modalities.'
One is the Three Selves, the simplest, clearest model of the whole-person, evolved from Hawaiian, Huna-Kahuna roots. You Have Three Selves vols, 1 & 2 is a good start on a textbook for lay persons.

The other big idea is Goethean Holistic Science. This expands on what Rudolf Steiner was trying to do with Goethe's science writings and ideas. The short version is Goethe's ideas about science are the natural underlying support for the entire field of holistic healing in all its forms and expressions, the foundation in this sense: performing simple, little experiments, with a method of your own choosing for the dual purpose of both learning; and, for self-development. This is clearly not limited to studying only what Goethe studied. Ernst Lehr’s man or Matter, 3rd Edition is crucial here, but at 500 pages will be for people who really value this classic.

As these big ideas get articulated and disseminated, I believe those who are looking for holistic self-healing methods will be able to usefully take up Dr. Durlacher's methods; as well as, more recent methods.

Good book with a lot of useful information I can not only use for myself, but pass on to others as well.
