Tall, Dark...and in Her Job!

An unexpected turn of events gives Ellie Williams's coveted promotion at Wiley's Dream Homes to aggravating newcomer Coleman Preston. This book could've been written about me, which is why I enjoyed it so much. I am much like the main character, not liking things to change. And I have many lessons to learn yet about allowing things to change, letting Heavenly Father be in control and to not freak about it... :)

"All Ellie had wanted was to be a success at work -- that, and maybe a lifetime supply of chocolate." Who wouldn't love a heroine who only wants a lifetime supply of chocolate? ;-)

Ellie despises change, except that she is expecting to be made Jax's partner in the business, that change she is ready for.

In comes Coleman Preston, the new partner

Didn't really like either of the main characters that much, but the reason this review is a two star and not a three is the author's bad habit of writing redundant dialog like this: "It's a nice evening," Cole said [after a fairly detailed one paragraph description of the out-of-doors].

A lovely romantic comedy - similar to The Proposal. Someone you think you hate suddenly you realize you actually love them. Very cute, sweet, light reading.

Enjoyed this book and how chocolate works for a little while, but it is best to leave God in control!

Diann Hunt wrote romantic comedy and humorous women's fiction targeted to Christian women of the Baby Boomer generation. She'd lived in Indiana forever, had been happily married forever, loved her family, chocolate, her friends, her dog, and, well, chocolate. Her book "For Better or For Worse" is being made into a Hallmark movie, with production beginning in November, 2013.
