I suppose I will have to resign myself to reading this story in novella-sized chunks. It's worth it though. Blue Amber is a shortish installment, spaced many years after the events of Spiderwork. I was very happy to see that there is advancement of Sky and Char's story, even if it's now a "historical" event. (Rigel is still keeping her spinning plates in the air!)

It was a good book. It lays out the new characters and covers some of the previous ones. It peeked my curiosity about Mallory. Her mom was a horrible person and I hope we find out her true identity in the next book. It kept my interest as I read it all in one sitting.
