I love this story....I find the princess appalling and the frog bothersome but for whatever reason I still always love the story about the princess and the frog! I am always grateful that one parent makes the princess keep her promise. I always hate that as soon as the frog turns into a handsome prince she is in shallow is that! But still....I really like the story!

Beautiful Princess Zelda lived in a grand castle with her parents, King Sour-Mug and Queen Lucille. She was spoiled; her parents gave her anything that she wanted. The only thing they couldn’t give her was a good night sleep. One day she was outside playing with her golden ball and it fell into the mud. The frog prince is a disturbing little fairytale with barely likeable characters, yet it lives on like all bizarre little fairytales. To make the story more bizarre, this version tells it with bulldogs dressed up in silly costumes.

I'm a huge fan of dogs, but not when their wearing clothes. In spite of this deterant, I enjoyed this funny book due to it's unique "voice" and the fun combination of photographs and illustrations.

This book begs to be read-aloud, so the next little girl who insists on being read a princess story, gets this one--bulldogs and all. If she doesn't love it, at least, I'll have read something with a twist and a chuckle-factor.

Could not resist the cute dogs on the cover. Was also a cute re-telling of the tale.

I'm giving this 5 stars partly because dogs in costumes are highly entertaining, and partly because my dog's name is Zelda.
