This book is about a girl who moves to Connecticut Colony from the Caribbean islands. She is faced with challenges and confusion in the new world she traveled to. Kit Tyler finds that she is only comfortable in the meadows alone and free. On one of her trips to the meadow she encounters a strange old woman know as the witch of blackbird pond. Strangely enough she enjoys the company of the bizarre woman. Later in the book things become difficult for Kit when her friendship with the woman leads her to being accused as a witch.
This book is good not great. First, the beginning isn’t very strong. Neither the first sentence nor the first page drew me into the story and made me want to read more the way it should. But, as I got farther into the story I started enjoying it more. Also the story line was predictable. I could keep guessing what major event was going to happen in the next chapter as I went along in the book. Lastly, I found the ending cute but too sudden in the story line. Overall this is a good book, but I didn’t really enjoy it that much.

Again one of Elizabeth George Spears brilliant masterpieces. This is one of my absolute faveorites! It made me want to cry, laugh and scream all at the same time. As soon as you finish it you want to pick it right back up and read it all over again. I highly recomened it.
P.S. F.Y.I!! For those of you that are not so hot on reading books about witches this is a story set in the 1700`s when they falsely acused many women of witch craft. And that is the case in this particular story.
