February 6, 2016This book is a non-fiction book about trees and how they grow. I would target this book more towards the younger grades like first to third grade. This would be a great book to read to children when Arbor Day comes around. Take the time to read about the trees and the cycle it goes through. You could do lots of projects with the stages of the tree.
I would maybe pair this book with the fiction book about Johnny Appleseed. Although he is a real person some of his stories are folk stories so they aren't all always true. The stories of Johnny Appleseed I feel like are meant more for children so again, I would still steer these books towards the younger elementary ages.
