Great lesson.
Helping Me Be Good About Gossiping is a children's book that is appropriate for early to middle grade elementary children. It explains gossip and how it makes people feel and how it spreads bad feelings and lack of trust in others. I have owned a copy of this book for years and as I have taught preschool most of my teaching years, this is not a book I find preschool children understand. The idea of gossiping is not a problem with most preschool children and they just don't get it.

I love all the Help me Be Good Books by Joy Berry. I had a couple handed down to me from my mom and I found a bunch of the series at a used book store and bought them all! My kids love reading them just for story night, but I also find them very helpful to read when we are having a problem with a certain trait.

Each book focuses on defining what the action is, how it makes people feel and what to do about it. It helps explain how gossiping can hurt others. It's simple and quick and my kids love t

Such a great book for kids and adults to read together!! Joy Berry has a wonderful way of bringing things to a kids level to help them understand things better. Sometimes as an adult we forget kids see and process the world differently than us.

Beautifully illustrated to help kids pay attention while learning valuable life lessons!

This series is wonderful for any home or classroom! I want them for he community center where I work!! I am also thrilled they are being made available as ebooks!!

This book is for older children. I tried reading it to my 3 year old granddaughter and it was above her head; so I skipped through it hitting the main parts for her. But for older children this would be a good way of teaching them how repeating things we hear isn't nice and how it feels for both sides.

This is a great character development book to read especially in classrooms where community building is essential. This book focuses on how harmful it is when you talk about people. You not only hurt the person who you are talking about, but it also makes you look mean.

This book teaches children about what gossiping is. This book teaches children why it is bad and why it can hurt people.

Learning Extension: The children can give their definition of the word gossiping and what they think it is and if they have ever witnessed it or created it.
